Similar to Anfield, I think redevelopment of the stadiums, modernising them means keeping its history and soul .. modern stadiums look great but modernising existing stadiums is something special in my opinion
I've been going to my beloved Villa Park since about 1970 aged 7, I love this ground and still get a buzz when I get Inside. One of the best grounds in the World by far ❤
I attended 5 matches at Villa Park between July of 1966 and May of 1967 Including both the FA Cup semi final (Chelsea v Leeds) and World Cup group stage (Germany v Argentina). My family emigrated to California subsequently. Great memories.
I am red fan and Aston Villa is one of my favorite clubs, i love the history of the club, i love the unique, beautiful, historical, traditional authentic English style stadium, I love the club colors and kit style, I am amazed how a club like Aston Villa is not in top tier of English football club at least, I don't know why there are no investors in this club so far, this club has lot of potential, great and ambitious project, it's a must to expand and develop Villa park, I wish if they would have copied the main stand for the new proposal one, but this one looks like holds more fans, but looking forward to see Aston Villa back to where they belong. Aston Villa must deserve a at least 50k stadium.
Love it when clubs stay true to their roots and retain and improve what they have got. New stadia are lovely but nothing beats a traditional old stadium in my opinion
First went to st Andrews blues ground around 67 , but used to watch villa following week , when they played at villa park , always preferred going to villa park , last there in this 80s
I worked at this ground putting the cables in for Sky in 2003 and we used to dig at the Aston hotel what was run by a lovely Irish lady..One morning we couldn’t leave the hotel for work because someone had been shot and killed in the car park 😮...It’s a crackin stadium is villa
We should bring back proper terracing and r store the Holte to it's former glory. I first went to VP as a little kid in late 60's (season we got relegated to D3 actually). It was incredible. The Witton End (when did it become the North End?) was a huge bank of open terracing. The floodlights spelt AV and the Holte was so big you couldn't see the back of it. I stood on the Holte from mid 70s through to its demise. Football grounds are just not the same without terracing. Shame. That said VP is still one of the best, most atmospheric grounds in the country. Long may it continue.
Brand new stadiums such as Tottenham are really impressive but they lose the soul of the ground whereas grounds like Villa Park and Anfield in remaining with the heritage and history of the clubs. I can't wait to see the finished article.
I remember when the existing North Stand was built in the late 1970's, it replaced an open terrace accessed from steps behind - that was in itself an exciting development - this is of a different order. Like many who have commented the the new North Stand will enhance the stadium whilst maintaining the authentic feel of a traditional football ground, Rather like the current development at Anfield. Well done "the Villa". The video by the way is fantastic, really brings the whole thing to life. Thanks
Great video, you're extremely talented and skilled, there's something really therapeutic and soothing about your videos. Love Villa Park, my favourite away ground. I wish the FA Cup Semi Finals were still held here.
Aston Villa's Villa park stadium should be at least a 60K capacity. All the stadium needs is 4 quadrants to link all the stands together to justify the capacity cos since Ron Saunders days they've underperformed as a Club that effected the City!
Me my family been going most weekends to watch my beloved villa my brother pass away today he so proud now to his villa team on up this gonna be amazing stadium when finished because got plan's to extend dog Ellis stand and Holt end in future 65000 fans hopefully by 2030 love my villa
I'd love the club to reveal what they intend to do to get capacity up to the 60,000 they are talking about in phase 2. You'd assume they intend to rebuild the Doug Ellis stand so I'm curious to know what they intend to do about the road.
@@paulhanson5164 You can see the roof line of the new stand where it meets the Witton Lane stand is clearly "cut off" at a 45 degree angle. My best guess would be that the Witton will eventually be rebuilt (and hopefully renamed) to match the roof lines of the Trinity and new stand, giving us three "matching" stands with the Holte standing alone and unique, as it should.
@@paulhanson5164 accross the road from Doug ellis is nothing but a grassy area, I assume they would do something similar to the trinity where the road passes underneath it. Is this a plan they have to ip it to 60,000? I wasn’t aware of this
@@ryavfcmatteo 60,000 was the plan stated by the club, I'd love to know how they intend to do that as even building over the road and into that patch of grass probably wouldn't add 10,000 seats.
@@EmiMartinezVillaLegend This is not an official render and it gets quite a bit wrong. The roof will be a truss roof, not cantilever as shown here. The truss and other steelwork will be located under the roof canopy. The loads will be transferred to the ground via columns either side of the stand. I also don't think they bothered to accurately model the inside of the stand as the bits we see of that are completely wrong. The real stand will look nicer than this in my opinion.
It would be fantastic if Villa can do this. Not too many old school grounds left these days with most having been replaced with soulless bowls with no character or stand out features. Villa Park has four individual stands that fit nicely together to make up a proper old school English stadium. Always loved going there as an away fan and saw one of the best games ever there when Charlton beat Villa 4-3 in the last minute (sorry Villa fans) and best of all it was the first ground where I got to eat a chicken balti pie at halftime!
The main issue is Witton Station, it needs expansion and better access and egress. Also the academy is under construction already and looking good! I wonder if in the future we'll buy up some of the industrial land next to it and build a whole new training campus, would be awesome imo.
The training ground at bodymoor has had millions invested in it. Would be silly to move the first tieam now. Brookvale is perfect for the younger generation
Witton also has nowhere near the sort of service it should have. I don't know what the service is like on matchdays, but 1tph at other times is a crying shame. And whilst I don't ever envision it needing more than 2 platforms, if its anything like Aston station down the line, it sure does need better facilities than it currently has.
It’s going to be even better when the Doug Ellis stand gets the upgrade in the 2nd phase of the villa park rebuild..for me it’ll be the best ground in the uk when it’s all been completed
@@leejohnson3209 ..the houses behind the Doug Ellis lie further back than they used to so there’s plenty of room behind the DE stand..I remember yeas ago in the 80s the houses were really close to the Witton/Doug Ellis stand but they were knocked down when the Witton stand was redeveloped when it changed to the Doug Ellis stand..plus they’ve already said it’ll be redeveloped in the future
Just a few points. The roof will not be a cantilever design as represented in this computer mock up. It will not have all that steelwork on the outside. It will be 2 tier, with the upper tier tapering around into the corners. The final design will look nicer than this I think. And of course it will be branded with the new round badge.
Shame this has been cancelled. Having all that land behind the north stand which is 50 years old is an absolute waste. Could build a second holte end and offer a huge amount of corperate space delivering revenue and meet the need of thousands of fans wanting season ticket
its needed the facilities and stand just is not great at the min, ive been ST holder in north stand for 9 years now and i cannot wait for this phase to be complete, hope fully some more leg room too aha
If I were asked to rename the redeveloped North Stand, I would suggest George Ramsay Stand. He was not only the man who established Villa, but the Football League as well. It'll be a fitting belated honour for him.
You're thinking of William McGregor. The founding father of the first football association in the world. The MCgregor Stand would be the perfect name for it.
In faintness, I don't think the station counts as part of the stadium, or indeed the club, in the same way that the academy and conference centre do. Though I will heartily agree that Witton needs an upgrade, I haven't heard of any such proposals? Usually we're quite on top of the news on such projects in the rail industry, given that there are embarrassingly few of them...
Yes Villa park NOT a stadium HAS an aura about it I recall a mid seventies league cup tie against man Utd semi final we won 2-1 that night unforgettable night one of many great nights and about time this fine organization is heading in the right direction that's Mr Emery
Yea that's pretty much what it would be like after Witton station gets improved of course. The only issue was the fact he used the current badge for Villa Live as that would be the old badge by time we even touch the stadium given we have to wait on our council to do something about Witton station
Yeah I'm always impressed with what Bondibot does. But as a Villa supporter I have a done a bit of research into this project and I know this render unfortunately contains some rather big inaccuracies.
What's interesting is our great new owners have put it to the council to sort out Witton Station 1st before this all starts! We could be waiting a while 😂😢😮
@@marcmurrell8827 Well we waited until they came up with a feasibility design for the upgrades to Witton Station before getting planning permission for Villa Park which will start construction in Spring but without that design that wouldn't be a thing. Improving a train station takes considerably less time then improving a football stadium especially since you can't just go guns blazing given we will still use part of the North Stand for seating during that time. Naming a bridge after Bellingham is a farce especially since we haven't got a proper memorial to Neville Chamberlain who was a great PM just gets remembered for appeasement which was a necessary act without knowing Germany's true power and it's not like we were sitting with our hands between our legs during that time as we were beefing up our own armed forces in case we go to war which was very likely even if we didn't see how fast the Münich agreement would fold we were better prepared for war hence we held out until Germany was forced to go for the oil in USSR which was their true plan anyways hence they tried to get us to join them and when the US joined tried to turn us against eachother. Now yes Japan made another mistake which considerably helped us on that front aswell which we did desperately need having some embarrassing defeats in Asia against Japan but overall we held out and that was the aim especially on that front it was all about waiting until Europe was settled just keep position and so on
Hiya marc, i think I'm slightly wrong but Witton station defo needs an upgrade and more trains arriving and leaving same as Aston! That's to do with council and train provider.
@@leejohnson3209 I'd love to see them square off the corner of the Holte on the Trinity Rd side but as you say there are problems due to the constraints of the road and park. They could put a tunnel in which would free up the space but would be very costly just for a couple of thousand extra seats.
Seems like the lower tier of North Stand is going to be retained while the rest is built and completed. Should mean capacity may be temporarily reduced to 40000 or minimum 39000.
Think the City one has been done - as has a Chelsea one - unless there are new plans for Stamford Bridge. St James Park in Newcastle would be interesting - Bondibot might have already done that too in an earlier video to increase the Gallowgate end. But I saw a plan that would move the pitch diagonally to enable a more uniform enlargement taking into account the listed Leazes Terrace. That would be a great CGI render to see

What's interesting is our great new owners have put it to the council to sort out Witton Station 1st before this all starts! We could be waiting a while 😂😢😮
Yea they're too busy naming a bridge after Bellingham instead of doing something that really matters
Yea they're too busy naming a bridge after Bellingham instead of doing something that really matters
Where have you heard that we aren't starting it until the station is done? As I'm sure Purslow said work will begin in the summer
Need to do the Holte End too, fill the coners in for anothet 10000 seats. Makes The Stoy look a bit sick though ay ?🤣
The Holte was designed as a stand alone stand. Filling the corners would be difficult due to space constraints and it's inherent design.
@@leejohnson3209
I'd love to see them square off the corner of the Holte on the Trinity Rd side but as you say there are problems due to the constraints of the road and park. They could put a tunnel in which would free up the space but would be very costly just for a couple of thousand extra seats.
Estádios brasileiros por favor, Santos FC, São Paulo FC, Vasco da Gama, Flamengo, Sport Recife, etc...
The sleeping giants are back! Villa park is the Buckingham palace of football stadiums. The future king is a villa fan say no more 😂❤
Seems like the lower tier of North Stand is going to be retained while the rest is built and completed. Should mean capacity may be temporarily reduced to 40000 or minimum 39000.
I think the whole stand will need to be demolished unfortunately.
Top work! Awesome
very nice.. and the paying fans deserve better facilities..
Great video
incredible video!!!

Wow, best version so far, when does it start and isn't another tier going on the Witton lane stand? 👍UTV

Wembley should of been a example to all the old Wembley should of been re vamped and the twin towers kept

Faz um de Anfield part 3 e 4
Looks like they’ve knocked down half of Witton.
I’m guessing the person who has rendered this hasn’t been to Witton.
Looks epic can’t wait to see it finished 👌🏻 could of picked some better music with abit of our fans chants 🤔
They ruined Villa park when they demolished the old main stand.
Che, ahi va jugar El Dibu?
Amazing video we need one on Chelsea and there new plans with there 3 options Man City and Newcastle
That would be a great CGI render to see
저렇게 주차장 밀어서 건물 올리면 주차는 어디에 하는지??
