- We are all surrounded by invasive ("alien") species: animals, plants, fungi and micro-organisms that have been taken out of their natural environment and introduced to new places by humans, says scientist Marten Winter. The problem? Often these, introduced species can dominate native species and endanger natural habitats. The thing is, we sometimes might not even realize we're transporting an "alien" species from one place to the next.
Dr. Marten Winter is a trained macroecologist, music nerd and drummer. In his professional life, he leads the Leipzig based sDiv, the German Centre for Integrative Biodiversity Research Halle-Jena-Leipzig.

Let me save you the 17 minutes: he's misusing the term "alien" to refer to invasive species.
We have a word for that. It's not alien. And you make yourself an unserious click baiter by using it in this context.

I live in Indiana, U.S.A. A couple months ago I saw a Bald Eagle. WTF? Why is there a Bald Eagle in Indiana?? I'm 38 yrs old and the only hawk-like bird I've ever seen here in all that time is a Chicken Hawk. The biggest being Buzzards.
lol i live next to the moosehorn national wildlife refuge in maine, and we have bald eagles everywhere. they litterally swoop down in my backyard, and I can see them from my house on a daily basis

im pre sure this shizent burger is an Alien
The point that I get from this talk is that
1. human is the main alien organism carrier that spread these organism to places it wasn't supposed to be.
2. he was unconsciously disagree with human migration, yet there are hundreds or thousands of tourists that visiting another country and carrying all these alien organism with them.
3. he suggested to wash our shoes before going inside the house. so before getting inside the other country we should get a shower? probably in the airport?
but the water used to wash the body will also carrying these organism, and this water will still be in the soil.
there is no real point in doing this, isn't there?
so, no to tourism? or migration? no to refugees either?
maybe I am just taking this too far.
