- For sale in our Chicago showroom is this absolutely stunning 1974 Pontiac Grand Am. Touting a massive 7.4L V8, this luxury power-cruiser is very capable of getting up to speed. The 455 cubic inch V8 is paired to a 3-speed automatic transmission to get this beautiful Burgundy boulevard bruiser down the road in the smoothest way possible. Having just had a repaint, the shine on this peppy Pontiac is incredible.
Firing up the monster V8 brings a satisfying low rumble that is quiet enough to enjoy cruising all day, but just loud enough to hear while sitting at red lights or in parking lots. Slide into the extremely comfortable captain’s chair and prepare for takeoff. The entire dash and center console have a slight cant towards the driver, even furthering the cockpit feel. The refinished white leather interior is as classy as it gets, and ties the whole car together in a wonderful way. The fastback roofline make this slick coupe look fast even while standing still.
With a huge V8 and style for days, this ’74 Pontiac Grand Am is sure to impress. Options include: Air-Conditioning, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Seat Belts, Leather Interior, Radial Tires with Raised White Letters, and Rally Wheels. I'd like to see one of these in person once again. It was an interesting model even in its day...and even more so now!
Beautiful dream car design by Jack Humbert for John DeLorean before DeLorean quit GM in 1973. LeMans A-body with Grand Prix instrument panel and interior.
As a kid growing up in the 60's thru 70's & owning a 1967 Impala 1970 Chevelle & 1977 Chevy 1/2 ton Short Bed it was the BEST Era Of Vehicles to drive & own
I had a 74 Grand Am 400 2bbl carb V8 7.4liter with jet trans and Posi-traction axle, Electric doors & windows, side mirrors. Retractable front bumper, rally Mag Wheels. Rust colored acrylic paint job. I owned it 1979- 83. It was stolen on the South side of Chicago. I really miss that car. It was Fast & Furious.
If it was a 7.4 litre it must've been a 455. The 400 was 6.6 litres
Pictures ?
The car should have been filmed outside in the natural light.
I just saw that car in person and it’s a beautiful automobile!😎
The Grand Am it's a 1974 Le Mans body with a Grand Prix Interior I always loved those cars my Fathers friend had a 1973 Grand Am with a 400 it was sweet this car is nice too love the White Interior
Its a beauty. Had a 73 brand new owned it for 35 years. This car has a super rare climate control. Hate to pick it apart but it never came with a leather interior. Notice the NACA hood scoops another rare option. Only saw one grand am with them functional as ram air. How much did it sell for...?
It my not of came with leather or Vinyl Interior but it looks great with it
Beautiful car. My first car was a '74 Lemans Sports Coupe. I feel kinda pervy watching the video, though, because of the music. hahaha!
It's porn music for sure,....isn't it?
The wife will never believe you're innocently looking at a car, unless you show her.
My best friend in HS had a 74 as well - a Maroon 400 2 barrel auto with the GT reflective stripe and white bench seat. I have never seen another similar to that car - very rare now. My buddy's car ended up in a guard rail...sad to say.
Shout out to the dj. First and foremost . Im jammin and havent sen the car yet lol. Love this a body styling
Had a 73 Luxury Lemans in 77 78 only played Disco too, mine had everything, but I love the Grand Am, just not that black top
One of the horns isn't working, it's a dual horn car. Sounds like a '70 Honda.
Black top? With white interior. How much,?!$
Thanks
Who chose the porn music?
Pimp my ride?
it;s really odd that it has air, 455, sport steering wheel and guages but no power windows.
Great observation. I was thinking the same because the age of electric & power was almost a standard during the early 70's.
Found one for $1000 bucks but hard to find body parts 😔
Near Impossible....all of these cars were used up 25 years ago. No aftermarket support of 1973 - 1977 A body cars except for engine - drivetrain - suspension parts. I have a 74 Buick GS455 and deer took out a fender three years ago - I found ONE fender in the USA for that car - it was $600 plus shipping ! The headlight bucket took me TWO years to find -it finally came up on Ebay...very lucky. These are great cars : Grand AM, GS455, Hurst Olds....they drive and handle SOOO nice.
Very nice and rare in this condition.
awsome!!
Wow pretty good
Anybody want to do the hustle. Nice car can't find them
bountiful car like my buick lesabre 1968
How much
How many 74s had a 455?
a lot!
They only had 400 or 455 the 350 was never offered in the Grand Am so I'm sure there were lot's of them
My mother had a 2 door 73 LeMans with the 455. I loved that car. Even though it was just the low compression 455 it was still pretty fast. I remember my mom just roasting the shit outta the tires lol Great memories
Yeah you could flip the breather lid and add 50hp, and made it sound awesome. Lmao!
@@markmcdaniel8811 , I used to do the same thing with the air breather lid on my 1970 454 Chevy Caprice. You coild hear that big Rochester 4 barrel open up from a half mile away. It sounded great.
Cho-wahhhhhhhhh..........
