    *before beginning* "This doesn't look so hard".
    *after first round* "I'm a little sore, but this doesn't... Wait, there are 3 rounds?
    *after second round* "*gasp* *gasp* I'm dying, please, someone send help."
    *after 3rd round* "Too... Tired... To move..."
    Yes, I was extremely out of shape then.

    Mike is one of the, if not is THE greatest trainer of all time. When I was still in the United states Army, I was training to prepare for ranger school, I started using Mike's cardio, strength & endurance training videos. Almost everyday whether I was cleared to hit the gym for PT, or when I came back home, I'd take notes from Mike's training and apply it to my own training. A month went by, took a PT test, not only did I qualify, but I also made through all the training and got my ranger tab, now don't get me wrong, it wasn't all strength & endurance without ranger school, there was also tactical operations as well, you mess up on anything you're fucked, and there times when you have to stay up and active with little food and sleep. Overall Mike's freaking awesome, and to those who are haters, if you're into training and getting huge or ripped or all of the above. Try it out but stay consistent, muscles and shredding fat is not gonna happen over night.

    K lets add this up. lets say you do 10-20 push ups during the around the worlds every round. there's 3 rounds. so you have done 30+ push ups. now the towel lets say you do 15 of those. in 3 rounds that's 45 of whatever those are haha. now the dive bombers lets say you do 10-15 of those that's also 30+. then mike does this move he called the cobras i guess there at 9:00. lets say you do 15 of those for 3 rounds that's also 45. then Jack knifes you do 10-20 that's 30+ and so on if you have read this you should have already realized you're gonna see results if you do this for 4 PLUS weeks and i bet you will look rly fit. hopefully this answered everyone's " Does it rly work? questions.

    • @beanbaby101090
      @beanbaby101090 9 років тому +4

      PureBeats Also if anyone cared. you do this workout 5 times a week for how ever long you want lets say for 4 weeks. 5x4 = 20. lets say in the 3 rounds everyday you did 30 of everything. 20 x 30 = 600. you have done 600 push ups and all the other exercises in this video in 4 weeks. in 8 weeks you will have done 1200 push ups and all the other exercises. you will see results as long as you stick to it and have a good diet.

    • @faronbrown2320
      @faronbrown2320 9 років тому +1

      +PureBeats That's really not that much man maybe for a complete beginner but someone in OKAY shape can do 100-200 pushups in 4-5 minutes for example.

    • @SixpackLeanStrongMind
      @SixpackLeanStrongMind 11 років тому

      well, the at the very least you should do 4, he said do this 5 times a week to get shredded, but if you want to get more shredded, do more than 5! you should do a lot of cardio, especially if your very skinny..this is good

    • @OceanIgs
      @OceanIgs 11 років тому

      ixihuape666 Well don't your body get used to it? Because if it does then you're not going to feel anything right?

    • @aaronjosephs2560
      @aaronjosephs2560 11 років тому +4

      Iggy Lopez you have a few options. First, if you aren't already, you can flex while working a muscle. What I mean by that is that you should flex for the entire time you're working a muscle. If you're doing push-ups, try to keep the biceps and/or the chest flexed throughout you're exercise. This will make the exercise much harder, and prevent your body from ever "getting used to it" (because as your muscles get stronger, you'll flex them harder, so the exercise will be harder). Secondly, he said to do every exercise three times. You can add a fourth set! More than 4 in a row doesn't do much benefit though. Personally I think you should start with the first option. Remember, if you feel like your body is used to it, that's actually a good thing; it doesn't necessarily mean that the exercise isn't doing anything. In fact, it usually means it's doing more! Lastly, keep in mind that at 14, working out can injure you (and after a certain point doesn't actually help). So I would strongly suggest not doing this any more than 5 times a week. Flexing a muscle throughout its whole exercise is always a good way to make an exercise harder, more effective, and effective for longer. Hope that helps!

    • @OceanIgs
      @OceanIgs 11 років тому

      Aaron Josephs At what age should I start working out that wouldn't injure? Oh and thanks for the reply it sure did solve my questions. :)

    • @aaronjosephs2560
      @aaronjosephs2560 11 років тому +2

      Glad I could help! And age depends. If you're exercising on a regular basis, 16 would be a good time to start. If you sustain any serious injury from working out before then though (pretty much anything worse than tearing a muscle a single time) wait at least another year before working that muscle group out heavily. It also depends how much you stretch. If you stretch and exercise regularly (and in a healthy way), by 16 you should absolutely be able to work out as hard as you want without extra risk of injury.

    • @iNtivity
      @iNtivity 11 років тому

      This should be done at most every other day. This should not be done two days in a row. Besides, this workout is more suitable for beginners to working out, meaning this is not suited for the advanced bodybuilder.

    • @Thedudewhofails
      @Thedudewhofails 11 років тому

      I completly disagree with you. Those exercises will build your muscles. It is not about how often you work out. It is how intens your workout is. I think this workout is pretty intens. And im not a beginner. Make the wraps longer if it is 2 easy.

    • @iNtivity
      @iNtivity 11 років тому

      The first thing you said makes sense, and perhaps you are correct, an advanced bodybuilder can do this workout. However, the frequency of a workout is crucial. In my opinion, no workout should be done two days in a row. I believe that will lead to overtraining. Some workouts are so taxing on the muscle group and nervous system that the workouts can only be done once a week. Other workouts are more suitable for beginners and ought to be done every other day. Here are some workouts for 3 levels of bodybuilders:

      It'll only use about 80% ketones, so still uses glucose. Although you don't need carbs at all. It'll convert protein into glucose through gluconeogenesis.

      yeah i've read a few things now about it ... brain indeed needs glucose ( sugar ) to perform as well as good fats . Im still wondering what it needs more ... glucose or good fats . But anyways , lets close this comment . tnx for replying .

    For anyone who likes this workout and is still doing it, try adding more time to how long you do each exercise. When I first started I could barely do the 30 seconds on the 3rd round. Now I'm up to 1:15 each exercise. You can do it, push through the pain and you will be rewarded. My goal is to hit 2 minutes and then once I get there maybe 3 minutes. Keep pushing yourself and God will give you strength

    • @Keoses
      @Keoses 10 років тому +28

      Robert Andrew since when does not being "cut" mean you aren't strong, healthy and know what you're talking about. Though I dissagree with some things this guys says, he's been training people proffessionally in the gym and out for 15 years. You look little more than 23 in that picture. How much more can you really know? Then again, maybe you've been training people proffessionally since you were 8. How would I know? :P

    • @djroan11
      @djroan11 10 років тому +2

      Brikard Raken did i ever say anything about strength? i watched a few of his videos and he talk a lot about diet when he is at around 12-13% BF. btw i graduated kinesiology and im getting my trainers license soon so i might know a few things. This guys is smart though. he knows how to make money. gotta give him that

    • @Keoses
      @Keoses 10 років тому +22

      Robert Andrew Then you should know it's a little unhealthy to have less than 10% body fat and can be dangerous to have less than 5%. I think hes doing pretty good, not to mention he eats like a machine. I don't think being "chisled" is really all too important to him. He has videos on diets just as he has on weight gain. That's a bit irrelivant. He is trying to teach all around for multiple groups. Part of his success in money making likely comes from thahis attempt to teach everyone (like this video on getiing "ripped" when he doesn't look like Bruce Lee or a steroid junky). No offense, but if you are going to be a trainer I hope you learn to open your mind a bit. ;P Especially if you want to do it as a source of income. All that aside, good luck on your license and career and gratz on your graduation.

    Thank you Mike ! Your videos are pretty awesome ! The thought of you educating us on what we need to eat and or train our minds on certain health issues is a huge step to getting to our goal that much faster ! And I think it also helps us on not to set ourselves up for failure...

    This is the first body workout where Its actualy doable as far as calisthenics. I see Hannibal(my inspiration), kali muscle, frank medrano, etc. But its mad discouraging when you try mimicking certain routines even the quote on quote "simple ones" and you get discouraged (not easily but after a lot of unfinished sets) because you cant deliver. I actually feel I can keep this routine. Ive found a new way to build muscle through calisthenics! Thanks my man!
