Honestly i could see Shenmue getting a reboot because I think some of the mechanics in the game would be super fascinating to explore in modern game design. Like a beat em up RPG where you have a story to progress, but things like get a job and work in order to make money to pay off a hotel room you use as a home base impede the story progress.
@calvinware7957 Shenmue 3 is not old enough that people can't smell its stink. It only exists because Sony wanted an exclusive and got baited by the fake hype of a crowd fund campaign. Maybe 1 and 2 get some kind of remaster someday but that (still not even close to finished) series is not getting rebooted.
