Many of the long sleeved gowns restrict motion and have the arm hole too low. I will show you how to raise it. This video also goes into #FrenchSeams, repairing tulle, and replacing seam binding/encasement that is too bulky.

I did see a comment about adding lining to a sheer dress could you add possibly a way to add lining with a drop v waistline I’m never sure how much seam allowance that doesn’t make the v so bulky.

Beautiful job!! I usually use an elliptical piece for the armscye and usuallycover my work with apps. But I like this too. Nice and clean. I have to tell you in the last 9 weeks I have fixed four wedding gowns from four different alterations places. These weren't just little re-fixes either. One gown was on the floor 3 inches and the lady told her it was 200 dollars for a hem and it would only need to go up a half inch. I was mortified for our kind. Another one just serged her hem and left it like that. Unfinished. All four brides were at the point of meltdown. I was sad that they had been mistreated because my heart is to serve brides. Make them shine yanno? I was just wide eyed at four brides all having a bad experience with alterations in that short of time. One of them I had been referring to when I had overload.
Life of a bridal seamstress. Sigh......I'm ready to make custom gowns for bridal season. That will perk me up!!🤪

Yes, we do get "clean up" work some time. :( But, I try to keep in mind, (& I have a vid coming out on this!) You never know what arrangements the bride made with the seamstress, paid next to nothing, and then lied when she came to you. I have, unfortunately, seen that time and again.

Could you possibly readdress raising the armscye? Possibly an indepth video for understanding when to add a gusset. I found the critical information I needed was sped up or glossed over to the point of not helpful. I've experience sleeve and armscye no longer matching too many times. I question the size of the gusset I need. I also struggle with insertion points being smooth. Sleeves are coming back very strong and I just don't have the time for OJT. thanks

After watching your solution to this perennial problem, I see we have the same strategy. I have opted for a rolled hem in the tulle with the serger, disengaging the knife to make sure I do not cut or shave seam allowance. I felt they achieved the look on the tulle at least on the dresses I've worked on. French seams make better sense, though.

It depends on the length of time and complexity. Some gowns take a gusset easily, & it's only 45$ or so. Sometimes it is quite complex and any changes would be disruptive if not absolutely perfect and well designed. It could get into a couple hundred at that point.
