I dont know if these glorious young kids discovered the great music of the 80's on their own or if their parents just made sure they knew what they missed, but I am sooo thankful that they exist and have brought their wonderful covers of a great era back to all of us out here that missed it so much. Thank you!
Most likely their grandparents. Most of their music is from my teenage years and I'm almost 60.
They're from Romania, under the Communist regime of the time it was illegal to listen to this music.
Their grandparents would have had to get it on the black market.
Probably didn't become known until after the fall of the Communist regime.
@@markschmidt9142 I am sorry my friend, but Romania was not part of the Soviet Union. The Soviets, however, did claim part of the original territory and had an occupying force there from WW2 until the late 1950's. They have been an independent nation since 1957.
I’m old enough to remember when this song was first released and I even had the record album. A lot of good memories from that time and an outstanding cover of this iconic song. Well done!!
I saw them white lion. In 1988.. They play this song near the end of the concert ..i can stiill see the guitarist vito brata doing his amazing guitar solo. It was unforgettable. The whole crowd lighting up their lighters...

I found them by accident last year. They are my favorite UA-cam band. Not just due to their awesome talent but if you look at their other stuff, they present themselves in a very refreshing way. Check out some of their live birthday party stuff. And notice the wide variety they do
White Lion is easily one of my favorite bands from the 80's. Definitely worth looking them up giving them a listen.

White Lion was the diet coke of metal bands in the 80's. They were NEVER as good as they could have been. This version is actually BETTER than the original. The nice, moody, atmospheric backing vocals add a lovely element of class and elegance to the performance.

Vito Bratta and Mike tramp were two of the best song writers working together this one topped their abilities of writing Andreea did an exceptionaly great vocal performance on this one and Andrei excellent guitar work it’s hard to play Vito’s style but an excellent performance 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻🎵🎸🎶 to tell you what the song was written about is living on a paradise earth with only god as our ruler 😊 much love to you all ~ Chris 😊

This song is by far the best that White Lion ever recorded. Your rendition gave great honor to the original. Very haunting, in a good way.
I'd respectfully, yet strongly disagree. IMO it's probably the worst song White Lion ever recorded but oh well. This cover makes up for that to some extent.
