You’re literature classroom looks like my classroom. My classroom is so chaotic like most people in the schoolyard agrees that mine is the loudest like people are running around. I had a kid with a chair one time, but that’s because he only made me mad because he was bullying. My cousin and bullying ain’t cool. You should do a video about what you think about bullies or were you bullied or something like that?
I love ELA and English. It’s so easy and productive! And my teacher is amazing!! She lets us draw, work in groups with our friends, and bring snacks and plushies!!

I'm in 10th grade, and I must say. I quite literally relate to everything you just said. Especially about being super shy and quiet.

My daughter (who's about your age) recommended this and a few of your other videos to me. She does similar animated-Gacha-Club videos (though w/o audio). I like the vid, and it reminds me of my high school days: I was big into art, music, and English as well (that being my native language). I was also a shy kid, but high school is when I started coming out of my shell, so there's hope for you yet! Keep up the good work!

As a person who is glossobic- I can totally relate to why u chose art over Music I just hate the stage and talking in front of crowds and presenting. My anxiety goes up to the roof. I hate how I have so many eyes just bouncing over me. I love music too- but the stage is the primary reason why I chose music over art.

I'm finishing up my final hear, and yeah. There are some classes I absolutely hated, and some I absolutely loved. In middle school, I took choir and drama because Art scared me (I'm horrible at art) and I also took woodwork... For some reason... But I loved woodworking because the teacher was fantastic. In highschool tho, there were some required classes I despised. At first, I hated economics. I was supposed to be in a classroom in what we call "the south building" which is across the field, but here's the kicker, I live in a place that's hot in the summer, and extremely freezing in the winter. I was going to have economics in the winter during 2nd trimester. I luckily changed my teacher (and therefore my classroom) and ended up with a much better teacher, who taught psychology, Holocaust, economics, and student gov. I already had him for psychology, and I loved psychology. I also liked the teacher enough to try to TA for him for his psych class specifically. At first, I didn't even think about doing TA, but I ended up having to do it bc they put me in a class I didn't have the prerequisite for and promptly took me out. I ended up TAing for the new choir teacher (the old one retired the year before, my freshmen year, and I didn't know how the new one ran the class) but she ended up making me sing because there was only like... 8 people in that particular choir. I had my fun in freshmen year, with drama and choir, and I didn't let myself take those classes again until now. I'm in play production, and musical theatre (which is next trimester) as well as treble choir (previously known as dimensions) so I'm having a bit more fun. But, as if my 2nd trip, I'm now being forced to take U.S gov, which is with the same teacher I was supposed to take econ with. I don't think he realized I switched because of winter, and he thinks I just hate him, but both u.s gov teachers are outside... It's pure pain. He also gave us homework over Christmas break 😒

I am a senior high school student and let me tell you this point system is nothing compared to the stream system.
Students are being sorted to different streams based on grades.
Only class toppers in the have a lot of choices, average students get a small amount of choices, struggling students don't have a choice some of them are being told they are not capable of studying like the other students.

In my school (in America, sadly), English and literature are one in the same. At least in 8th grade. We learn different things (like.. like grammar) but we also read. A lot. Our current English unit is on World War II and the Holocaust. I swear I’m only passing because of this unit. Luckily, instead of doing a class group (like we did with Frankenstein), we’re in smaller groups with a small collection of books we could choose from. I chose The Diary of A Young Girl (it was recommended so many times) and I cannot stress enough about how good this book is. While hard to decipher, it gave our group many interesting and deep topics to talk about. Also, English is my favorite subject. I like writing (especially timed) and when we get writing assignments, I’m always complimented on my great writing, not to flex 😎

Chinese: I’m constantly hovering on the pass/fail mark and it’s very boring 4/10
English: Easiest subject for me, and classes are actually a little fun 8/10
Math: Send help 2/10
Integrated Science: Fun but not my best subject 7/10
Chinese History: My soul leaves my body and prays the teacher won’t call me 3/10
PE: Really fun most of the time, I love playing dodgeball 8/10

I can't relate, I love the 3 unspoken subjects and Bio, Geo, History. The only thing I dislike is German I live in another country which means I can easily get A+' for freestyling a 15 minute presentation. It feels awful to get the highest possible for 0 effort.

School ruined reading a little for me too because my English teacher gives your grade partly based on how many books you've read and how long they are. So I have to find books that are big and long when sometimes I just want to not do just that, it's hard for me to find books I like too
The example of what your class looks like is so relatable. As soon as the teacher leaves my class all I hear are unfunny memes, conversations fighting over my eardrums, and weird drawing on the board that make my brain melt from trying to understand what they were trying to draw.
My ratings (for all the subjects I’ve taken)
ELA/English/Literature : 9/10 - Love writing stories, love reading.
Math : 6.5/10 - I don’t like doing math in general but in my class, we do games, fun activities and sometimes it’s not even math.
Social Studies/History : 4/10 - I ABSOLUTELY CAN NOT STAND HISTORY. I do good in it but I hate it..
Science: 8.5/10 - 3 words- Projects and experiments
Gym : 7/10 - I like doing fun games like floor hockey, soccer and tennis but we run so much..
Music : 9.5/10 - YESSSSS WE GET TO PLAY PIANO, MARACAS, BELL SET, ETC I LOVE ITTTT
Performing Groups : 8/10 - It’s basically music but we have to play only 1 instrument and we stay with that instrument for the rest of the year (I do flute)
Art : 100/10 - Art
D.A.R.E. : 9/10 - It isn’t really fun talking about drugs and stuff but we get rewards
Computer Ed. : 7.5/10 - All we do is type on our keyboards :(
C.A.I. : 5/10 - Its basically Comp. Ed but we do 15 iReady lessons-

The English subject is relatable to me, I’m Thai but I can speak English pretty good.
Like I speak it so good people at school actually thought I was born in a different country but nope, Born in Thailand and not anywhere else.
And like ya said, It was straight free A’s and most people asked me for help in English and I usually help them. We even play Kahoot! And I’m usually the 1st/Winner of it. And yep, Doing other projects in the middle of the subject is relatable for me.

I never went to a highschool, I was homeschooled up until this year. Now I take small classes at a Library to better myself. It’s peaceful and relaxing ❤
My English teacher is the most quiet, monotone teacher I’ve ever had and probably will have. You walk in, you sit down, you look at the board, and you do it. If you finish, you read your independent book. And the worst thing is, I have that class after Gym. And she tells the instructions before class starts. So I have to go up and ask her what we’re doing *every* time. I can’t take this anymore.
When I was in 2nd grade, I was in homeschool and so was my sis when she was in 1st grade.

Why is the art class always so dope?
I love English for the same reason!! My English teacher has these perks where, for example, if it's ur b day, you get to leave class without asking, you get to sleep in class, eat in class ANYTHING. He's also my homeroom teacher, and last week, Monday, he pulled out my class from every lesson we had and made that day very fun. We watched a movie, wore whatever we wanted, played around the pitch for as long as we wanted, and stuff like that. He's also very understanding. Something that's a bit of a problem for me is that I'm a hijabi and He's an Islamic convert, so idk in what way I should talk to him and I get social anxiety when talking to male teachers lmao. But thank god he was english❤❤ and the same for my Arts teacher, she isn't a convert, tho, or English, she's Muslim! And she treats us(the girls) like her children♡

4:07, I feel you, school is so long but only some parts of it gets interesting.
I had something similar to the point system but mine was for Math class, the teacher had us answer at least 1 question per week too and at the end of the semester if we had answered like at least 7 questions we had a choice to choose if we wanted extra credits for the homework, no homework for 4 classes or raise our final grade(and the teacher would only raise 4% of our grade) it was horrible and I suck at math. The worse is I used to sit right next to the teacher and since I have bad luck she would always pick me and might I also mention that I have stage fright too and I'm really socially awkward so it was literally the worst class to me because once a student was picked the whole class would stare at that student like they were looking at their soul.
i also love english! but in my school its called social literacy for some reason but i have THE absolute best teacher! she lets us do anything we want! even changing partners in a group project and sometimes she lets us pick she is the best teacher in my whole school years

If she has received a special education, she speaks very well. but if she has not studied German other than school education, I guess she cannot be very good. You only take German lessons in 9th and 10th grades in Turkey. (In order to take the German course in 11th and 12th grades, it is necessary to choose other departments)So... Yes, we have a bit of a mixed education system 🥲

For me kaitlyn. Every school in my days are mostly hell cause wherever i go, chaos follows. Like when i been behaving and trying not to get to trouble, all my classmates are like animal gone loose, some of us are bow involved to every trouble to others did, they don't listen, behave or even let an teacher teach in peace while they push to their innocent limits.... going dark... what im trying to say that they abuse my teacher's kindness (oh im from Philippines btw, and i love english, and music. Cause i love to sing, maybe soon i'll learn to play instruments)

In 5th to 6th grade I had the same english teacher.
She was so cool and nice and was the only teacher who didn’t talk about they’re kid who fell down the stairs NO she talked about food,girl stuff… and we even did a prank on the kids who came back from the badminton tournament.
She was very kind and her pretending to be mad at 11 y.o kids was visibly hard for her😭
