    So glad you guys are loving the new gear! It's really impressive technology. This review should be helpful for anyone looking to make the switch to induction.

      Thank you! Loved seeing you guys use it and tried making our food taste as good as yours, that didn’t work😅😆
      We hope people building out their van can find this super useful. Or those looking to make a switch.

    We love love love our induction cooktop! We think that there's so many benefits and as long as your electrical system can handle one we recommend it to anyone! Good information, we loved the "We'll do a six month review (if we remember) haha!

      Haha, well thanks to my father, I added it to my calendar so I won't forget. We will see. LOL. Yes if your battery system can handle it, it's much better than having funds in your van or even having to try and find/buy little propane tanks.

    I love induction cooktops (even though I don't have one in a van or a van for that matter haha) but it cooks the food so fast and the temperature is so precise and easy to control. Love cooking on it very much! Great video guys!

    This reminds me that I need to watch your van tour video! What I could see of your van interior in this video looked really pretty. I've been curious about induction stoves so this was interesting to watch.

    Cool! Nice review and I really like that this has a wattage display. If I have other things running, my inverter might not be able to power the full 1800w, so it looks easy to just not turn it up too high!

    • @abeandmel
      @abeandmel  2 роки тому

      Yes, that is really nice to have both the temp and watt feature. Rarely have it as high as 1800 if using one burner (and actually very rarely on two so far).

    • @abeandmel
      @abeandmel  8 місяців тому

      Hello, we went away from this style of video and towards cinematic ones we enjoy making more. We love the induction overall. It does require a pretty good electrical system. We have run into issues in the winter months because of getting less sun and the caveat now is that we both have remote jobs so our computers draw a ton of power with both of them plugged in (along with Starlink). Those draw about 250-300 watts. Without those I don't think we'd run into a lot of issues but we do have a portable one burner gas stove as backup for areas like Washington and Oregon.

    Hey did you ended up doing a 6months review? what's the experience? how much power do you use per cooking? :)

    • @abeandmel
      @abeandmel  2 місяці тому

      Hello, Apologies we never posted a 6 month review. We are still currently using the induction on our solar system and it has been working well. If cooking a full dinner with it, on 400ah it takes about 10% battery if the sun isn't out. If the pan/pot is too small, sometimes the induction magnet doesn't recognize it very well but we rarely use our tiny pot. We recently sold our van and moved into a custom built truck camper and purchased this same exact induction and same thing, its been working great the last few months.

    Nicola Tesla we're not but it looked like a great way to cook! Van or not. We've heard others talk about inductions advantages. Now being from Wisconsin close to Franksville we have to ask. Where's the sour kraut?

    • @abeandmel
      @abeandmel  2 роки тому +1

      Lol, I (Abe) likes sauerkraut. Mel not so much. Haven’t had it in awhile but whenever I do I always think,”Why don’t we get this more often?”. Guess it comes down to space in a van for food, can’t have too much that one likes and the other doesn’t. Especially in the fridge.

      Hi, apologize for the late reply. This is still working great, have been using this one for two years no problem. with a 400ah battery system and a full dinner cooked it takes about 10% battery with no sun on our solar panels.

    What about the extreme EMF emissions from these cooktops that can cause cancer. Have you looked into that? If you get an EMF tester you will see that the emmisons are off the charts.

    • @abeandmel

      Interesting. No we have not looked into that.

    • @Jabber-ig3iw
      @Jabber-ig3iw Рік тому

      EMF has never been proven to cause cancer, whilst induction jobs do give off EMF radiation so does every electrical appliance, given that you only use them a couple of times a day for short periods of time they are as safe as anything can be. There are far more dangerous things to worry about in this world.

      It has like an electrical/magnetic humming sound when a pan is on it. If nothing is on it and it’s making a noise like that, I’d say something is up (at least for this brand).
