Music video by Ladyhawke performing Blue Eyes. (C) 2012 Modular
damn, this isn't half bad..LadyHawke is gorgeous as well
Finally found out what the name of this song was! Every time I hear that Verizon Edge commercial, I wanna dance. My daughter's a whiz at looking these things up. I may be a great grandmother, but I still like jamming rock'n roll beats.
Yes, really. I have 8 grandchildren and 2 great children. :-)
Heh heh. Both my kids are a few years over 40. One thing I've come to realize is that my time grows shorter. I figure I've got 20, maybe 25 years, at best. But music seems to have always been a thing in my family. :-)
Can I find the commercial on UA-cam?
I love this I finally find this song
more people need to wake the fuck up and like this song !
The only good benefit I’ve ever received from Verizon.
The song is catchy, lyrically ridiculous with a good steady beat. Lacks in a pure punch as it is forgettable but for now its a hit!
Does anyone know what sparkly , glittery stuff they used for that drink?? Or maybe what drink that was that she had?
i don't know if you'll see this after 2 years but what the hell. many ingredients found in cosmetics will impart a shimmer and are also non-toxic and/or can obtain a 'food safe' rating, if the quality is high enough. if google "luster dust" or "decorative dusts", you can find the details regarding what goes into the different colors and types. there is an absolutely disgusting beverage called 'viniq', which is a mix of vodka, moscato and decorative dusts. it looks kind of cool/interesting but it tastes like crap. one review compared it to glittery robitussin and i honestly think that's more praise than it deserves.
Good song...I'm torn that I heard it on a Verizon commercial, though. On one hand, wouldn't have heard it otherwise. On the other hand, Verizon is a zit on the ass of the human race.
Jesus, trying to get this song out of your head is worse than Walk Like an Egyptian.
RIGHT??! Om*FG* every channel I turn to on the TV is playing this song on the Verizon Wireless commercial. I lose my mind every time I hear it. HATE this song so much Dx
so? its pretty awesome.
Oracle13 haters gonna hate… i hate haters.
I love this song, just hate how catchy it is. lol.
Oracle13 ...why are you here then?
Yes, brought here by that darn Verizon commercial.....love the song though!!!
I recently got into a fight with a random girl on Facebook due to the fact that I started liking this song simply because of the Verizon commercial and what people need to understand is that musicians agree on adding their songs to commercials for advertisements/sponsoring and such. It's a win-win situation for both, so why get mad over something so idiotic? The more fans for the artist, the better.
It's a way for people to explore new singers/bands, because otherwise how would people hear new songs? :D I completely agree with you!
Totally agreed. And it's cheaper for companies to licence "indie" songs, so everybody wins here.
Good point. I discovered Evermore's "Im falling away" through a Sprite commercial and I love that song. Much better than this one too.
Raeshelle Cooke Agreed. I discovered Rufus Wainwright when he sang "What are you doing New Year's Eve" in a jeans commercial, and I've been a fan ever since.
exactly, commercials have better new songs then the radio it's odd, also discover Starry- Eyed surprise through a diet coke commercial.
Does anyone even know what the ad was about? All I could remember from the verizon ad was this catchy song.
The "Everything" plan or something like that
It was the more everything plan.
Verizon Edge. I made it a point to find out what the commercial was about just so I could find out what the song was. I really like the song! It's just fun music. :-)
haha i love how advertisements fail to get their product recognized and instead just notice an amazing song :) Thanks verizon!
Track is awesome and well produced!!!! And the lyrics are very poignant!! I get it!! Wanna hear more!!
I honestly can't get enough of this song. The music is just plain fun. Rock on, baby!
better & hotter than tame impala 💋
Heard this song in the Verizon all new everything commercial and now I WANT TO SAMPLE IT
Took a lot of effort to find, but TOTALLY worth it! Great song!
But, next time Verizon, can you just put the song title and artists name in the corner like other advertisers Do?!!
Thanks Verizon, but I'm not switching from AT&T yet.
at mobile comercial
verizon!! thank you, i knew i remembered this song from a commercial and it was verizon.
Why are there so few views of this video? It's a great song!
I'm hearing lyrics hidden behind the "na na na" part. It's like someone is whispering "I love your body" (beats 4-8). Can I get confirmation on that?
I heard it too
i hear it too. i think it's just a breathy echo of "na na na na" or just breathing but i don't think it's lyrics
Verizon
Verizon's commercial brought me here. :)
Not Vevo? EPIC!!!
hit like, if you came here due to the verizon commercial
An amazing, wonderful music to dance to. I know good music and this is great
:-)
SO catchy, great energy, great spirit & a great song.
I dig Ladyhawke!
An amazing, wonderful music to dance to. I know good music and this is great
:-)
Whenever I hear this on TV, I start singing out loud lol
verizon
who came here because of the verizon 2014 commercial like this
That's the ONLY reason I'm here. Never heard of this band or song before. Is the rest of their stuff any good???
Hey pip this is your fan who dropped you off one time a quiet ride, I've adhd) I sill like you, might need new emergency housing listening to u up loud as on my 7.1 ch stereo, I still like ya like I do. Hmu.
It sounds like a commercial towards the end of the song-people talking and all. Is that supposed to be on this song or is it a mistake? Just wondering. Getting into the groove of this song, and all of a sudden, voices talking rather loudly during the song. If its part of the song, don't get it.
yeah!
Have you ever, ever felt like this? Have strange thing happen are you going round the twist??? (My first thoughts, if you watched it in the 90's you'll know)
It's so hard to tell if a catchy bit from a commercial is from an actual song or just made specifically for the ad. I hate Shazaming something and I get theme song for a car commercial.
Gosh, no racist comment discussion about the "blue eyes"... Welcome back reasonable Internet experience!
After looking for the song on the Verizon commercial for hours I have finally found it and my life is complete!
I LOVE THE PART WHEN SHE KEEPS SAYING " NAAAAA NA NA NA NAAAAA NA NA NA NAAAAA NA NA NA NAAAAA NA NA NA NAAAAA NA NA NA NAAAAA NA NA NA NAAAAA NA NA NA NAAAAA NA NA NA NAAAAA NA NA NA NAAAAA NA NA NA NAAAAA NA NA NA "
like this..unlike other snippets used for commercials, this song keeps its steam up throughout from start to finish
this video is confusing but I love it
NZ has had a good run since 2000, as far as musical artists go. I'm sure there are more than I've heard, and, surely, plenty before the date I listed. It's great to hear a lot of creativity coming from that country.
Amazin song from an amazin woman!
I have to say, I have never seen this random of a music video before. Unless there is some meaning behind it. Nahh...
There's a lot of 80's references here. Most of Ladyhawke's stuff does that. I've never known her to make a video that was without meaning.
Illuminati overload!!
The part in the desert is a tribute to a Fleetwood Mac video "Hold Me".
Ladyhawke...you are AWESOME
To all the newcomers thanks to verizon(which now charges extra for watching netflix) welcome. Ladyhawke is one of the more talented musicians among those of us on the Autistic spectrum... Yep thats right, autism is not so much a disability as it is an asset contrary to the crap that "autism speaks" puts out... So if you like Ladyhawke, make sue to oppose any efforts to "cure" autism (we don't want a cure), and FIGHT AUTISM SPEAKS... Autism speaks, DOES NOT speak for me.
So if I like a catchy song I should jump onto an anti-whatever bandwagon?
jjw95sc If you value the musician's individuality that contributed to their music as you know it.... then yes.
***** That's some crazy self-serving logic but I guess I should expect as much.
So you are mad at Verizon for a zillion people hearing this song who otherwise wouldn't have? Plus, she made this song,so how has her individuality been compromised? Did she have to do it in secret or something? Is someone trying to force a "cure" on her?
jjw95sc So I am crazy for opposing eugenics? because that is exactly what Autism speaks is working for.... Are you secretly a nazi? I can't imagine how a sane person could otherwise support eugenics.
I feel bad that your still unknown
Jesus I had to know who this was... thanx Verizon for not shutting up w/this :)
this is what happen when u take shrooms or weed;)
A wise woman once said: "naa naa na na naa...nananana, na na na"
This song makes me wish I had blue eyes
Frank is loving it from the other side. Double Bravo !! Like your guitar too.
Reminds me of The Cardigans.
Great video... great song... i like it!
favourite chic, asl surfing life stevie knicks
This deserves way more views.
Has anyone ever tried LSD while listening to her music?
Excellent song & video!
hey this is great!! was not expecting this, not a massive fan of her debut but I'm excited now!
The song is so full of energy that it powers itself?
You see the pain in my blue eyes
I only like the nananana part
Awesome work Ladyhawke...... Love it!!
I hate that they used it in a commercial, people wouldn't shut up whenever it played because they recognized it as a song I've played on my phone. I love this song to bits, the whole album was dope.
#verizon Brought me here
Well...I learned about her from Working at Juicy Couture. We play at least 3 of her songs :)
Verizon and rookie blue trailer
Pip is a power source :) .
Am I the only one who immediately thought, "aww, what a cute horse
Hahaha, I did it, too. XD :3
it's a pretty retarded horse.
an awesome hook to this song; can't get it out of my head! Kudos...
I just heard it in a Tmobile tv commercial!
and shazamed it!
Horse of awesome.
Anyone else come here because of the Verizon commercial?
I FINALLY found it!!! It took me FOREVER to find the correct song, because almost every website was getting this song wrong. This song is amazing.
Ohmygosh, Ladyhawke does a cover of White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane???!!! :O I LOVE THAT SONG!!! :O
And now I'm TOTALLY playing this song in class tomorrow, in the morning. :D
this is amazing
I love it
I was brought here by the Verizon commercial too. Wow! The power of music in Advertising is enormous. At least to me. I would never have searched Ladyhawke if I didn't hear her song on Television. Just a great reason why Artist should embrace commercials. They aren't selling out! They are bridging the gap! Helping the small minds see big things.
Ad jingle caught me. Then I pursued and found out Blue Eyes song by Ladyhawke. "Discoveries" like that are cool. Feel behind the times though, seems this song has been out for a while now. Guess I'm a little slow on the uptake.
Awesome song indeed!:-D Ditched Verizon and switched to T-Mobile a couple of months ago though, they still offer unlimited data and are saving me over $40 per month:-D
A++. It just greatly disappoints me that I didn't hear this great tune before a money sucking corporation bought it for a commercial.
Forget all about, for the people, by the people . . . . .
Government = For the Corporations, By the Lobbyists.
Brought here also by Verizon - Shazamed the song while commercial was playing. Love this song!! Going to buy it now.
The song is good (being ive just heard it, thanks to Verizon Ads plays non stop). Lyrics sucks with no meaning to it. And the music video is just completely useless not making any sense.
there was a song that sounded just like the first few bars.... can't get it out of my head...lyrics were like cool in you or fooling you... does anyone know what i'm talking about?
I am pissed this is a single! Urgh, it's like 'Paris is Burning' strikes again - only worse. (I think). Gone Gone Gone for heaven's sake - great single it would have been! The "nananana" of Blue Eyes is such a cop-out; that's not a chorus! (I love you Pipps, but really!!!!) Poor, poor choice.
There’s nothing more I can do but sing you, la-la la-la-la la-la-la-la la-la-la, la-la-la-la la-la-la, la-la la-la-la la-la-la-la la-la-la, la-la-la-la la-la-la....."Literally"
2019?
well... there are some power generators who uses fuel to operate... BUT.. look.. there were things more weird than this... two hippies in a desert.. one with holy water and another with some broccoli for the horse.. xD
Video -hmmmm.... Music - Knocked my F#%KIN socks off!!! Some of you guys need to not get so invested in the videos.. I mean, these are musicians, and the point is the music. Video is just a 'bonus'... in some cases)))
love pop candy music every now and then, lots of talent to make something that brings you to it via Verizon commercial. Other material from band pretty good too.
Who came cause of the Verizon Wireless commercial? And also like this too if u ever saw a very old commercial called this is how you sonic with floating food and the guy rode a pickle. search it on you tube called this is how you sonic dream
Might have had to hear it from a stupid Verizon commercial, but I love songs with big bass drive behind them.
Today i was in a pc store looking what mice to buy when i hear one of her music playing, i asked one of the employees who's playing? Now i have one one mouse and one Ladyhawke album.
Is that video too unrealistic? It's not surprising to me. As wikipedia says ,,Phillipa Brown (Ladyhawke) has been diagnosed with Asperger syndrome. She believes that the large amount of her childhood and adult life was attributable to this syndrome." Any questions about weird music and videos ?
I love this song it sounds nice. Not even judging the video its talking about being drunk and that you should not be an alcoholic. The song doesn't fit but thats okay! :)
Anyone with ears can hear how terrible the whole album sounds. Whoever compressed this music soooo much should get his/her fingers chopped. What a shame...
Well said. I heard that artist make the videos with the music of the recorded on CD so that it doesn't get affected by other sounds. That is why I give you credit for your comment. By the way correct me if I am wrong. Thanks.
don't get me wrong, I LOVE ladyhawke but this song makes me think of that guy from "get him to the greek ". great artist but not a great song.
Musicians have always been doing that for decades, though. Bryan Adams's 'Everything I Do' in Sherwood Forest, remember? How funny was that.
It's seems hugely inspired by "El Topo" directed by A. Jodorovsky am I right?
Some amazing mix (Jacques Renault Remix) is there a Lu Cont mix or did I imagine that?
Hehey..dis toch oke he. Ik kende My delerium' etc al, maar dit is nieuw voor mij..ja beetje laat(:..maar je weet..dan nooOIt. Ook een funky video...paarden, veren, woestijn-blasters..gaat in mn favoriete lijst! Keep it up
I like the commercial cut it uses the best part of the song - great stuff. I had hoped to like the whole song, but great chorus!
i like the part where she goes nananananananana.
Or na na nanana, na na na na nanana, nanana na na na na naaaah.
I love this song because chorus sounds like the theme song to Clarissa Explains it All. Doesn't it? Na na na na na
