Excellent review, I have ordered the M440i xDrive in Tanzanite Blue Metallic with black grill and it looks stunning. You have to see the car to appreciate the looks. This is my 15th BMW so you could say I'm core BMW, cannot wait till March '21 handover. This will be a total winner for BMW

Excellent review. I have no doubt that the driving dynamics have improved drastically. I personally still will have to see the G22s in person + have that front grill grow on me.
Thanks Philjay! The G22 looks better in person for sure. The only 4 series I don't like is the 430i without the M bumper. Makes the front fascia look awful. At least with the M440i it's aggressiveness helps the new kidney grilles blend in better.

Great review! Very thorough explanations for both people that understand what BMW really is, and for people that aren't as savvy on the matter. I've watched just about every review on this car that UA-cam has to offer, but yours grabbed my attention the most. Picking up my M440i within less than a week and I cannot wait, thank you for putting out such a quality video!
We bought one today...arctic racer blue and cognac interior.
So do you have any advice for someone who is interested in purchasing this car. Any reasons to avoid? What cars did you consider before purchasing the BMW?

@@whn2309 No reason to avoid buying...we still love it so much. It's a constant drip of dopamine to drive. This is our 3rd bmw so we are obviously biased. The only advice is to go to a dealership that has a large inventory...better deals.
It is just a absolute dream to drive, I have one as a loaner right now with the 19 in all seasons, and even with the frameless Windows it is much quieter than my 2021 330i with the stock 18in run-flats. Even in Sport Plus mode the ride is much more comfortable, and I commend you for getting cognac for the interior as a lot of them are coming with black and it just makes the car feels so much less special. I hope that you got the driver assistance package because it is not expensive, and it adds so much, the car I'm driving stickers for over $70,000 and yet does not have adaptive cruise control, something a $17,000 Corolla has, I think that they should make the driver assistance professional package standard on the m440i

This review has been refreshing. I feel exactly the same in regards to the change. I have always driven BMW cars and I am sick of the same design. Thank God for this change. Why pay so much for the same thing? So many who reviewed this car knocked it to keep their subscription going because many just trashed the grill. Thank you for not being a sheep and giving your opinion regardless of what others think. Most people haven’t even seen it in person or cannot afford it anyway. It’s different and in a year no one will notice the grill which is why I want it now,. I don’t need to wait for everyone to have one in order to love it! GREAT REVIEW 👏🏼👍
I thought I was one of the only ones to think this, this, IMO, separates the old from the new... love this thing.

Nice review, i'm torn between this and the M340i, I've test driven both and they're basically the same, although I feel I sit up a bit higher in the M340i, but I like the visibility from the M440i with its longer doors and longer windows... such a tough one!
So my neighbor just got a white 430i with M Sport and the shadowline and I have to say that it doesn't look nearly as good as this one in Tanzanite. I think darker shades with a lot of reflectivity are going to suit this car better.

I just picked up a 2021 m240i and saw that same car at the dealership. I really like the grill and the overall design. Just a little bit out of my price range unfortunately.
I used to own a 2014 428i coupe. I agree that that car didn’t really have the best driving dynamics, it was boring to drive and look at. This car definitely looks like a baby 8 series, and the grill is growing on me. Nice review.
Good review. Thank you. It's beautifully proportioned & looks beautiful. Including the grill. The only minor details I'm not a fan of are the exhaust tips and those weirdly off-color front side vents both of which would not deter me from considering ownership.

Great video. I saw this car in the flesh and thought it was beautiful. I had the old M4 in 2014 before swapping to Tesla in 2017 but nothing was as good a drive as the M4. Great review, thank you.

Boston Auto Blog - Great video review. This car is incredible, however for the price tag you mention between $70k - $80k, for that money the Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio on performance and handling alone can challenge the BMW 440i! What's your view on this?

It’s still a no for me. I am a Current 2018 440 m owner, will not get the new one when my lease is up in 1.5yrs. I do like how the new m3 looks including the grill treatment, less pig like than the new 440.

A car's looks don't matter at the end of the day? Lol !!! You lost me right there. Of course they matter. Anyone who tells you otherwise is trying to make excuses for how heinous his car looks. Who cares if the car is fun to drive if you're turned off by it every time you look at it. There's no reason why BMW couldn't have achieved both looks and performance in the same car-except for the fact that their designers have totally lost the plot.

A car that’s priced $56k - $70k is not a vehicle for the masses, especially not an M440i. I didn’t try justifying anything, but rather simply directing attention to the driving dynamics as the Audi S5 and Mercedes Benz C43 don’t even come close to matching what BMW has here.
You're hard to understand. Slow down and try to pronounce words more carefully. You almost skip through them rather than pronounce them.
