Suggestion for the last character. Dash move is a jet pack to jump short distances over enemies and ground objects. Special move is the jet pack itself with the jet fire shooting down to kill enemies and destroy ground objects. As all enemies shoot on the horizontal plane they can't target above them but the jet pack fires down. If enemies do fire at you while in hover jet pack special move form, the fire from the jet acts like a shield. What do you think?
Fury, anger ? Bezerker ? Dash move massive damage but costs health? Power up Oooze powered will of destruction, all close enemies explode away from him. Damaging everything near. Might take out important stuff too like a computer you need to use to turn of lights , cameras for example. So a use with care thing 🤔
Up until now, I hadn't been interested in this game. That has definitely changed. The level design is looking great. The enemies look really fun and the varied characters all look really interesting.
Love the name "Medooza"! As for the fist guy, he could have a special attack where he punches the air rapidly, so the fists fly around in front of him like a short range assault rifle.
i like the changes to the character abilities and new names! have you ever considered allowing players to switch between characters at different times in the game so that they can use their specific powers for different challenges? there could be a puzzle solving aspect to the game that way.
character idea: Bullet (to replace Fury) dash: moves like a basic dash, but she turns into a literal bullet and damages enemies she travels through a small amount (like a single bullet). special power: she turns into a bullet that moves really fast you can guide around the level for a short time and and any enemies you run into are killed. the super fast movement will make it a little difficult to control, but it's also very powerful so it's a trade-off.
Special ability idea: the character can "spawn" clones of himself. Almost like the ghost but spawn 2 alter ego characters and the player control all 3 characters at once. When you attack an enemy you and your 2 "egos" fight the enemy together for a set period of time before they get pulled back into the main character.
For Fist, his dash should be a flying punch with enlarged fist that can hit and knock back 2 or 3 enemies. His special should be drawing in all of the nearby enemies with a cloud of fists in all directions from the player to gib anyone that got sucked toward you.
Fury character concept tweak: make it a time-transported medieval knight, that is a melee character: the Fury Knight. Regulates by swinging a big sword or battle axe around, 180 degrees, that does a lot of damage with a lot of hit back. Higher health/armor. Maybe they can pick up additional weapons, maybe not (depending on your balancing). Maybe depending on weapon arc and balancing, their melee weapon can cancel/destroy enemy shots. Sidenote: fun typo error with the special ability, which isn't Fist of Fury, but Fist of Furry! Btw be better to make this Fists of Fury, or if worried about that certain Bruce Lee film IP, Fists of Furiousness, or Furious Fists. Bonus, re the level design, maybe sprucing things up with some traps would be fun. Or the classic conveyer belts, or other forces to push or propel the player.
Various melee weapons can already "knock" bullets back 😉 I do like the character being somewhat more mysterious like a time-transported dude.. that might give me some new inspiration for the dash and abilities.
For Fury, what about this? his dash attack shoots multiple fists in the dashing direction. His special attack shoots fists around him but each fist destroys enemy's projectiles.
Someone just had the same sort of idea for his dash, but done with one big fist. So that's at the top of my list for the dash.. The ability, I still haven't heard the idea that "clicks" with the game yet!
UI looks very juicy, love the new enemy & PC variety! Fist feels like maybe a terrain-altering ability - open secret doors, take out certain turrets, etc. Less overtly offensive or defensive, but another orthogonal approach. Might need to indicate what it can / can't take out though. For level design, have you shown off your level-editor? I usually just start from sketches & graph paper to iterate quickly, not sure what your approach is.
Terrain-altering could be cool.. but also a nightmare to design levels for (that still work if you are not playing with that character!). I have shown the level-editor before, but I might do a new video soon to design a level and talk a little about the game.. just to force myself to actually create those levels 🤣 (still haven't added any new ones!)
@orangepixelgames I forget are players intended to do 1 character throughout, or switch up occasionally? If the latter, then it allows for levels to have affinities for diff chars. Agreed though that anything that changes the level could be a headache to design against.
Hey Pascal, I would replace the falling fists with the berserk from doom :) You'll become invincible for short period of time, and you can one punch anybody. It could be nice reference also.
It does look ( and play! ) a lot better these days. The fists are cool, but they just don't seem very practical or as useful as the other character abilities..
Ever thought about making a tower defense game? I think there's still a market for that. I just checked Poki's YT channel, their last video is from a year ago, I don't get how you see an opportunity there, they don't even bother advertising for free on UA-cam.
Ahaha Medusa, she fires eyes, whilst there are eyes still alive she can see, and so moves towards you. Also she takes no damage if she is shot, but any eye creatures do

this is a cool idea. Pascal could probably bring back his squad AI to use for it too.

Fists appearing is a bit weird, but fire would make total sense. And who doesn't like fire?
Although fire is a bitch to implement. Maybe lightning instead. More techy too so suits the theme of the game better.

If you're focusing on web games. Why not just do WebGL games? Like is available with Unity for example.
I am using WebGL .. just not Unity or other tools
