    • @Zedoutdoors

      Hi Dave the compunds all differ in terms of grit, the geenral advise is to get a medium / light grit if you are just maintaining your blades ~Peace~

    How do you make the polishing so shiny? When I tried polishing on leather with some compound you could see some fine scratches on it...

    • @Zedoutdoors
      @Zedoutdoors  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Abbas when using sharpening stones / sandpaper it is adviced to work through to the finest grit you can, and then use leather to for gthe final finish ~Peace~

    • @justinsane332
      @justinsane332 3 роки тому

      the scratches you see are from lower grits that havent been fully taken out as you progress through the finer ones. It can also be that your steel isnt as good for the mirror finish. Not all steels are equal, and some dont finish as well as others.
