i think if France had fallen in love with Joan of Ark, even if she hadn't been burned (history shit, here we go), she would still be mortal and would eventually die. France wouldn't. He's a country and is immortal, mostly. Either way, burned or old age, she would still die and it would be a sad love for France because he would know that she would die and he wouldn't
I think that the love between Jeanne D'Arc and France is more symbolic rather than an actual romantic relationship. Jeanne followed the path she did because she was a patriot and loved her country That's just my opinion though. :P
Yes, and I suppose in the real world, that's exactly what happened considering she was kind of a child and was chosen by God. I just also think that the loss of Jeanne to England for her supposedly being a witch, and now he's hypocritically practically obsessed with the occult make for an interesting plot line and explain many of France's actions in general. The symbolism is there, yes, but it's not as obvious to some. And I also just like the sort of relationship the two of them would have had. That said... Your opinion is great, actually, and has real thought behind it. I applaud you for not being stupid and for forming your own opinion. It gives me something to think about, which is great. (I'm totally sincere about that, but I can't tell if it comes across as sarcastic or not. And sorry this is so long.)
I never took into thought that France could have easily loved Joan Of Arc... and now that I think about it it makes me wanna cry knowing what happens at the end of it. Poor France!
WAAAH, this is so awesome!!! ^^ I so wish Jeanne were showed in Hetalia more...I wouldn't have really thought to use this for her, but now I see it's perfect. :P Good job!
I don't know... I think France definitely does care for and love Joan but not in a lover way. When he saw the (possible) reincarnate or Joan, he treated her more like a friend or a sister. He wasn't all up in her business declaring his never failing love. I just can't imagine France ever truly being tied down to someone, don't get me wrong, I love jean and France and I think there so cool together but I don't see them as distraught lovers forced apart by death. Please don't hate...
I'd like to think France could fall in love again. :3 But I think here would be plenty of challenges he'd need to overcome first. Plus he'd probably always have a fear of losing who he fell in love with like he lost Joan. Just a thought.
@argella1300 true, but his only true love, male or female, would be Joan of Arc i think. there's a reason why she's the patron saint of france, after all.
amazingly, if i feel like having a heterosexual pairing with France, its always Joan, i bet she taught him how to be a great dad meanwhile, Iggy gets Elizabeth 1 (or Gwenevere of Camalot) ...sadly, now that i type this, understand so much why Iggy is a horrible parent and France is awesome (btw, Lizzy 1 is my fave English monarch, but i know she had flaws, so no hate spaming)

I'm still allowed to hate Arthur, though!

I can think how hard it would have been for France if he had fallen in love with Joan gosh depressing. SUCH AN AMAZING VIDEO!
I actually cried in social studies class when we learned this
Me too....I cried because Jaion was a young adult with her whole life ahead of her.
I cosplay as Joan so I love watching AMVS for her

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!
In my opinion, Jean D'Arc is the only woman France has and will ever truly love.
..
Nice vid.
@ninjawarriorgirl1 I hope you can too! I never see any Joan of Arc cosplayers; so to see one with a France that would be like a dream come true. =3
