A Cinderella man=anyone who was given a second chance ( like Cinderella was when her fairy godmother showed up ) and succeeding with it ( like Cinderella did when she married the Prince).

The song is based off of the story of James J. Braddock. James was nicknamed the "Cinderella Man." He is talking about coming off the drug addiction and getting a second chance like Braddock did

Toronto born and Brooklyn raised singer-songwriter Script Shepherd supplied the beat for this track. He also sung the chorus - the first time he'd ever got to sing a guest hook on an album.
Shepherd and his team sent the track with the hook to Eminem's camp and the Detroit rapper chose the song through Shady A&R rep Riggs Morales. Script only got to hear the finished version when Recoveryleaked. "I was in the bathroom," he recalled to MTV News "My wife called me, and I thought it was a bug [in the house]. She was like, 'You gotta come now.' It was amazing. I was in the house with my family. My kids were going to sleep. I woke them up. It was such a tight-knit project. I didn't have a copy of it. I heard it on the Internet like everybody else, and I was the most excited person in the world, besides my wife."
Despite sharing the title with 2005 movie The Cinderella Man, the song was not inspired by the Russell Crowe flick. At the time Shepherd was getting over the loss of his older brother who got stabbed in front of his mother. He explained; "I liked the film. But at the time, I was going through a hard time. My brother had just passed away.
It's a stadium feel, an anthem," Shepherd added about the song. "Like marching, marching towards something. The sound is big, the message is big on the record. It's about just coming from nothing, not doubting yourself. It sounds like you're marching towards a goal. The guitars are rifting, and it has little bells keeping it melodic. It's a strong record that's motivating. And Em did something motivating with it. I just wanted to have people feel like they're moving with the record, have a Rocky feel. It sounded more authentic to have people feel like they were stomping in the record."
Shepherd explained the chorus is meant to inspire. "The hook says, 'If I had a time machine, I'd be a Cinderella man/ Music is my time machine/ Call me Cinderella man,' " he said. "Basically, it's like, music can allow you to do all types of things. You can change the world with music. You can go back and enlighten and move people forward just with sounds and connection. Music is a time machine."

There are three personalities to Eminem i swear. You have Marshall, who generally has the slow, very emotional songs. See When I'm Gone, Mockingbird, Sing for the Moment, Like Toy Soldiers. Then you have Eminem, who has the upbeat and sometimes goofy songs but they still have a point to them. He is also the warning tap to anyone trying to beef with him. Then you have Slim Shady, who will cut a bitch. Yes songs have elements of all three, but generally you can actually see a difference between the vibes you get from these parts to him.

Bully is the perfect example of em's most intricate writing skills, that isnt even a rap scheme that shit is literally writen like a poem , every first line rhymes with ever third line, every second line rhymes with every fourth line, then he comes back with the same Rhyme he had on the second line and finishes that shit on the 5th rhyme, and has double, tripple or even quadruple rhyme words in between , this is one of his most intricately written pieces , without a doubt, absolutely mindblowing
only em can rap for a writers block while he puts up lyrics that gives u goosebumps.

cinderella man is based off the boxer whos nickname was cinderella man, this song came after Eminems OD and his first album after the OD, so basically he's saying ya i fell off but I'm back now like how the boxer who fell off the boxing scene during the great depression came back and became world champion again.

As somebody who writes and draws it always seems that one is just so much more critical of their own work than another.
If I see another person's work I imagine that many of the "errors" are likely intentional for example.
The artist him/herself will recognize it for what it is, mistakes.
When I write and want to provoke an emotion it's incredibly hard to get it EXACTLY how I want it.
When I draw I often get good feedback on things I find not yet finished.
My point is that often one can be too critical of themselves.
