I needed this message so very much today.. thank you for listening to your inspiration. I haven’t been able to keep up with daily prayers but never would give up loving my God.. still I feel inadequate and guilty before Him always thinking there’s more I could be praying or doing spiritually to use my time better. When you feel like you’re not keeping up it’s easy to want to give up doing any prayers at all. God bless you Fr. Yep! The only thing I disagree with is when the food Fr says: “keep trying”.
A wise nun I know who takes care of people in addiction once said: “trying is lying, if trying worked you’d be sober years ago. Just do it”
The Bible says in Proverbs 16:3: “commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans”.
Just do it. And Jesus will take care of everything.

Spot on Fr. Goring. Before my profound conversion 17 years ago on a pilgrimage, I thought God was a distant God. I did not think He was a merciful God but more of a Just God looking to send people to hell when we commit mortal sins. My life changed instantly on my first encounter with our Blessed Mother where she led me to Jesus in the Eucharist setting my heart on fire like the two men on the road to Emmaus witnessing the breaking of the bread by Jesus. Viva Cristo Rey and Ave Maria.
