Is that a typhon mega red esc ? SINGLE 6S BATTERY FITS JUST FINE IN MY ARRMA TYPHON 6S. NOT SURE WHAT CAR YOU HAVE SETTING THERE RED ESC NORMALLY IS A MEGA
There are many options out there if you look around for both 3s and 6s lipos to fit. Pretty much any battery seller will have something to go into this buggy. I've got some Turnigy Nano-Tech 3s lipos from HobbyKing on the way (4400mah 3s 65-130c to run in series; should fit perfectly, but will need to remove the XT60's and solder on Deans).
Actually the official Typhon MPH chart says 35-40 mph with stock set-up and 4s. So that's about right. Remember we're dealing with a buggy that is suited really for 6s (at least that 2050kv motor is). Take care.
Another question, the upgraded pinion gear suggests a 18t, but you mentioned a 23t pinion. What do you reccommend to purchase so im prepared for delivery of this rtr? Again thanks for all your time and support. Adam
ARRMA suggests 18T on their chart. You can go higher, but I'd start there first. Pinions are not that expensive and you want to make sure there is sufficient room with the stock motor mount, spur gear, and whatever larger pinion you use. Any Mod 1 (5mm) pinion should work. I personally think going anything above 20+ is going to be a tight fit. Use the 14T stock first and see how you like it; this thing goes fast on 6s. Get yourself some on-road tires and glue them good.
Hello. I bought this animal and are waiting for me to arrive. How I wanted to buy a battery charger IMAX B6AC and as for the batteries two 3S 3300 MAH. According to you are fine? How long could I turn? Thank You
Ive been watching all your Typhon videos. Looks like your having an awesome time with it. I was hoping maybe you could help me. Im new to the hobby and just purchased an Arrma Typhon and two Onyx 3S 4000MaH 25c batteries. I charged the batteries up last night. A few minutes ago I took the Typhon out for the first time. When I turn it on the blue light blinks 6 times indicating 6S. Than the blue light and red light stay on constant. Is this normal? I than held the buggy and pulled the trigger and the lights seem to blink. I also think I heard a beep coming from the buggy when driving it. Any idea if these lights are an issue? Im not sure whats going on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'll order those first thing from hobby king. It's £65 for 2 Lipo packs. So saving £35 on 1 6s alone :-) Thanks for the advice What run time will these packs running in series give? I only do bashing around on off road mainly.
They give good run times, although it's all dependent on your throttle usage of course. I think you'll be pleased with them overall. Great value for sure.
Hi mate, I'm told to try and get 3s as cheaper to replace a pack if they fail. I've seen the turnigy nano tech a spec on hobby king, the bat pack States 138 x 48 x 27. Would I fit two of these in with the shell on? In series obviously. It's a 4250 mah, or do you recommend a pair of better 3s Lipo packs for the job. No cost spared Thanks again
Adam O'Brien There are better packs out there, but I don't know where you are located and what lipos you have access to. Packs from MaxAmps and SMC are excellent, and people like Gens Ace a lot also. The HK Turnigy A-Specs are very good. That said you'll have tons of power either way. As for me, I am using Turnigy Nano-Tech 3s batteries in series: 4400mah 65-130C each. Real good, strong batteries. The pack you want is 27mm wide; that is going to be really close/tight as 2 of them puts you at 54mm. I measured the tray and it seems to hold 52mm wide max. Maybe you can make it work but I can't promise it.
Hi, Thanks for all the advice recently, ive found a turnigy nano-tech A Spec 6s lipo thatll fit into the typhon according to your measurements. But im told the typhon esc is wired in series to allow 2 3s lipos. Does it come with a loop deans connector, to allow single battery use? The battery is £100 from hobbyking.
I was about to buy some batteries to run my typhon on 6s but now I will check their dimensions. Thanks so much for the helpful vid. Also, where did u get those battery tray dimensions?
Hi!! sorry my bad english translation,i have a little RTR 2S but i want to buy this BLX V3, i still a little confuse, the seller only sell 2 types of batteries, a TC Xtreme pro 6s 4500mah 90C , and 2 x 3S 5200 60C, both of them are team corally batteries, my question is, what of these two option do you recomend? i want to run 6s, so i dont mentioned the 4s batteries.
Hi. You can run either a 6S or two 3s. Depending on the stock connector configuration from the ESC, you might have to use an adapter or splitter, but those are easy to attach. Also check the size of the battery compartment and see which will fit better.
Hello From France, thanks for your nice vidéo. I would like to buy tihis buggy, i love it. Do you think, can we use no hard case lipo ? Is it dangerous ? Thanks for you answer. best regards. Didier
Hi, We live in the United Kingdom if that's any help. Obviously the higher mah the better really. What recommendations do you have? Cheers for all your support
You don't want to go too high as you'll just be adding weight. It's finding the right balance. I personally like the 4000mah range. So I am running two 3s lipos in series, each one 4400mah 65-130c. These Nano-Tech's fit perfect together into the battery tray (removing the adjustable blocks).

My stock version goes 70mph
ARRMA is advertising it as RTR, but does not include battery and charger.
mazpr2025 right lolll
A lot of cars are like that but once you get a few battery’s and chargers it dose not matter
I think it's better like that because like that you can decide which battery you run
2 Dynamite Reaction 7.4V 5000mAh 2S 30C LiPo Hard Case: EC3 Battery fits great.
I guarentee you can push more out of that than 40 on 4s... that seems way slow to me! Ive got rustlers 40 on nimhs... gotta be the battery charge.

Could I use a 2s 6400 and a 4s 7000 to get 6s? Same brand.
Or is this critical?

Yes it does come with a loop so you can use 1 single 6s if you like. Enjoy!

I measured :-) Enjoy...
Ok thanks

vegaspok I usually prefer hard but I am personally fine running soft. No problems so far.
LC Turnatrax
thanks for your quick answer, now i have to find lipo who can fit inside...
Have a good day.
LC Turnatrax Thank you for your quick answer, but in europe, i don't find 2 3S lipo who could fit inside...
If someone find some, let me know ;)
wait.. theres no shell on the car?
Does the Turnigy nano-tech 5000mah 3S 35~70C Lipo Pack run in this car?. It has a width of 26mm.
Ballistic RC Will be a tight fit. You can see my measurements of the battery tray above in the notes section. I assume you plan to run 2 of them.
LC Turnatrax
Would you have to adjust anything because i also have 2x 500mha gensace 2s lipos which fit.
you need to simply remove the plastic tray adjustment pieces. very easy. that will open up more room for you.
So basically you are limited to one 6S lipo, if you cant get thinner 3S lipos.
Is the motor a 2050kv or 2300kv? Some sites say 2050kv others say 2300kv?
Cheers
Modelsport.co.uk quote 2300kv?
Adam O'Brien kraton @ 2250kv??????????????????

lower Mah batteries would fit nicer... 12,000 mah? you probably get 2 hr runtimes! lol
uuuh he's running 6000mah packs not 12000mah
2x6000=12000...
@@yz125ryder he's connecting them in series though, not In parallel.
2x6000mah 3s in series: 6000mah 6s.
2x6000mah 3s in parallel: 12000mah 3s.
