Nice! Thanks for the mention. I wonder if the Master System emulator they're using is either buggy or just needs to be better optimized... It looks like it's a port of SMS Plus GX, which is an open source Sega emulator. What I think is cool about the ESPlay project in general is the fact that you can dig around in the code and write your own emulators or even apps for it. Cool stuff.
I like to give credit where it's due. I love the open source nature of the project, too. I hope more people get involved in this and maybe even create/use new, more powerful hardware for this sort of thing
I guess this won't work on esp32 wroom ? Also, Did anyone port game and watch simulator to esp32? the esp32 should be able to handle this simulator just fine right?
The esp32 can run DOOM pretty well. Running emulators is a different story; emulators have a lot of overhead(they're emulating hardware) . A port of Cave Story would run smoothly because it would run directly on the hardware.
I made this one on the RPi 3b+ a while back: ua-cam.com/video/KCKHD11U3eE/v-deo.html It's a problem because the normal version Windows 10 doesn't run on ARM processors
Be sure to check out Makerfabs and pick one of these up for yourself!!

Está bien hermoso, así quiero que sea mi tesis pero no sobre videojuegos sino una GUI portable. Les quedó increíble...

The super mario bros 3 work on the esplay micro but for some reason you have to press reset?

Whats cool! But as I can see some games like MK from SEGA is pretty low. Does esp32 exists in more powerfull variant?
Not that I'm aware of
The esp32 is pretty powerful, but emulators have too much overhead. Running games directly on the hardware would be fine. The esp32 runs DOOM
@@joel230182 well ,what exactly I should use for NES/SMD emulator?
something the same portable
@@vladyslavstadnyk2762 as small as the esp32? I honestly have no idea. Maybe they'll optimize these emulators in the future for the esp32.
@@joel230182 ok, maybe not so small but I want result"s size and concept like psp. Screen with buttons
SNES is too much for a ESP32. But would a Cave Story (over NXEngine) port work?

Does the game and watch emulator work on this? (like the old nintendo standalone hand helds, where mame and retroarch has support for them).
This is a very old video and not much of a powerhouse. I would look at the newer version which seems to be a bit better
Check out our firmware for this

That's great! Thanks for sharing!
Madness! 😲
Could you make a video talking about how to install windows 10 on the RPI 4 with 4gb RAM pls

Is there a shell for this?
Not that I'm aware of but I haven't dug into it too much beyond a cursory overview
Aaaa yaluwa yt hacker
Um... I'm going to have to take your word on that.
