- hi everyone, welcome to a new notebook making series where i am going to highlight potential ways/projects that will bring smiles to all of us paper lovers..
in this week's video, i am turning these old new yorker magazine covers into: 1/ a graduation gift for my good friend's son (thank you for those of you who have voted and helped me to pick the better cover option), and 2/ some stock for my next shop's restock. ** due to my current situation and time constraint, i am currently unable to restock/update the shop as regular as i used to though i really hope things will calm down very soon and i will be able to add these lovely journals to my shop sometime in June. thank you so much for your interest, your support and patience. it really means a lot to me..
i'm using open spine binding to make the covers for the existing text blocks that i have accumulated over the years. to make this you will need an old magazine cover of your choice or any illustration/print that you love, thin cardboard to strengthen the magazine cover/illustration/print, a text-block, glue, and some very basic tools: scissors, ruler, bone folder.

I'm always too slow to purchase anything from your website and your Etsy store, I'm hoping one day to at least buy one sketch or journal book just so I can receive the lovely wrapped parcel from you. I'm loving these different type of videos, I have to watch them a few times so I can carefully see what you make and then I play them while I'm making my own handcrafts or journaling. I really want to try this. I was thinking of making some homemade paper too. it would be so cool to use that for making a bullet journal (except without the dotted pages bc I am nawt about to draw a thousand dots on each page lol). love ur journals and channel btw. using the new yorker mag covers for the cover of the journal was rly clever and looks rly cool!! 🧡🧡🧡
