Thank you it was definitely a fun day out there. I’m ready for a little warmer weather to get the fish feeding a little better.

Hi Chad, You caught a lot of different species today. The only fish you missed was a Catfish. That was a fun video. Take care and good luck, Mickey

Thank you it was really fun out there. I usually always catch a catfish but none this time. I think when the temp breaks a little and we get into those 80 degree days I’ll be able to get those lockjaw snook to feed. Take care Mickey and thanks for the great comments.

I guess you had a small split shot on with your shrimp. Great video Chad. Steve

I was mostly free lining the shrimp I was in super shallow water. I should use a split shot more often than I do in the winter time. I may give that a try this week. Thanks for the great comments and giving me some things to think about to help improve my game. Take care Steve and I’ll keep those videos coming I’m heading out crabbing and hog hunting tomorrow.

That boat looks exactly like an action craft if it isn’t one.

It is an Action Craft. I absolutely love this boat I’ve been fishing this boat for over 13 years.

Great video. I’m new to the area, if you could point me in the right direction on where to fish that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you. I would say your best bet to start would be the bridges and pull off at the end of the bridges. Sebastian inlet is also an amazing place but you are definitely going to get hung up on the rocks when the tide in moving but it’s one of the top spots in Florida to fish. You also can pull off of US 1 and wade fish the shoreline around docks. Do you have a boat if so that changes a lot. Best bait to start with is going to be live shrimp or shrimp type lures or paddle tails. Cut chunks of mullet in the evening are also a really bait to catch reds in the winter and sharks in the summer July and August around Eau Gallie causeway. Things are slower in the winter but blues and pompano are super fun on the beach during winter. Use cut mullet or diamond jigs for blues and a pompano rig with shrimp or sand fleas for pompano. Ballard park has some good fishing where the river comes back into the park lots of area there to fish as well.

@@centralfloridafisherman9931 Thank you very much for the info. I do have a boat. It’s an 18’ cc Carolina skiff. All of my fishing experiences as an adult have been out of Boston and off shore fishing. When I say off shore I mean off shore. 40 to 60 NM off shore. I had a 30’ Grady prior to my divorce a few years ago.
I’ve been trying to learn fishing down here for a couple years now (as I am not full time yet) from the shore of course. I did get a boat last week and I’ve been out 3 times. Better then from shore 😉 but I do have to say, I did catch 3 keeper sheepshead from the loading ramp dock. Go figure lol.
May be we can hook up some time and go out together. I’m always available any time any day, just let know.
Again, thank you very much for your response.
