Erica Bassani is an Italian writer and spiritual seeker, who last year, interviewed nine wise women between India and Italy and wrote a book titled Enlightened Heart: Women in love with the Divine. It will be published in Italy in December 2024.
In India, she met and interviewed: Tenzin Palmo, for the Buddhist prospective, Karine Martin, Taoist priestess, Vanamali Mataji, Hindu master. Carola Paramjyoti Stieber, sacred dancer, studied in India for many years the art of the devadasi and founded Dance of the Heart Academy. Antonietta Potente, a Dominican nun, inspired Erica around Christian Mysticism. Marina Borruso, told her that if you are lost in the darkness, there is a door you might not see that can be open only in pitch darkness. Antonella Lumini, invited Erica into her house in the middle of Florence, where she kept her silence full of beauty for thirty years.
