all this rubbish about the 80's you can't come up with something personal to say so you go with the flow. "underrated" is another word you only use cause you know it's popular to claim that sort of bullshit. she's a genius and that's not "underrated"
@@FlickanIDetKroktaRummet She's a genius that's no longer well known. Underrated is exactly what she is. No idea why you're blowing a lid about that...
please, write something you understand and not something you know will be popular. she's not underrated. she's a fucking genius. but all comments that includes "ahead of time" and "underrated" is nothing but a sign of singularity/stupidity. and I don't mean to be rude, I just have to tell the truth.
I started listening to her again recently and she has some great songs that are very different from her earlier stuff. This is probably one of my favourites, very catchy.
Elly is amazing, but so much hurt in her eyes. Her voice is soul touching, and her words pick a string in hearts, on a note that everyone's love can understand.
I thought its impossible for this song to be better but i was mistaken..... AWESOME!!! And these guitar skills 2:27 such a beautiful jewels for this performance.... Criminally underrated song especially in comparison with now-day crap-hits from Minaj Talor & Avicci
This girl's mum must have listened to the best in 80s music. Cyndi Lauper and The Pretender's (ohhh, Chrissie Hynde), Orchestral Manoeuvers... Someone on another post said she looks like the love child of David Bowie and Tilda Swinton. Love it! Love this girl.
to me the lyrics speak of a rift between two people: a difference in what they want or think they want. from this springs a well of emotions: angst, yearning, desire. if there's any lesson in those words i'd say it's something like: be brave to be vulnerable and share your feelings and thoughts with others who you love or would love to love. possibly by doing that, you give them the courage and space to share their desires, needs, and wants with you!
I watched the abfab movie and heard her performing this song in the background and was like SHIT I forgot about La Roux. Worst mistake of my life shes so good

Underrated artist!!! Would have been a HUGE hit in the 80s.
Anthony Martinez agree ... but it all comes back around ... I grew up in the 70's and 80's and I see the 60's back here now

Severely underrated.
That is even an understatement!

Truly
They are not underrated. You’re just repeating this word in comments, like zillions of people trying to sound you value them more thanthe rest.
I played this song on loop for about...2 hours earlier today... ^^;
Same!
Damn, she sounds even better live ! I listen to her since 2009, her first album was my childhood
The serotonin this gives me. Can't believe how good she sounds live!
Should have been the single!
Yaaasss. It would’ve been a great single for contemporary/Top 40 stations here in the States.
Catchy, addictive song. Listening over and over again.
Obsessed with her new look! ♥
she is beautiful.
she promises me I'm as safe as houses, as long as I remember who's wearing the trousers
I love her so much! Her recent album is really nice.
Trouble in Paradise is among the best albums of the 2010s. Elly on her own is dare I say better than the first album? I'll make that assertion.
Anyone listen to this masterpiece in 2023?❤️

Que grande tiene letra, melodía y es muy bailables como qme encantaría conocer a alguien que haya Soñado bailarla
Had this been the lead single, the album would've fared much much better...
i miss her raw voice!
I would have paid good money to be there

Oh I bet money, money, money I bet
He's at the Sexotheque
He never answers the phone
Oh I bet money, money, money I bet
He's at the Sexotheque
He wants to go
Where the red light shines so bright, shines so bright
He wants to know
Why he feels so cold inside, cold inside
He turns and looks around, he doesn't hear a sound
No ones around, no ones around
Never knowing if he's given you up
Or if you're just not good enough
Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh
She wants to know why he's not home
