It depends on the place of your posting. In maintenance units you may get time but not in operational field units. You will always be made busy irrespective of your trade.
If you focus on your personal studies then who will do your work. If you want to get commissioned in service better finish your graduation and join directly as an commission officer. Don't burden your co worker.
