Hi Jewells, love you channel. My sister and I did a 9 day self drive tour of Iceland in 2011 and after years of international travel it is still one of my favorite trips. We stayed at an inn and the owner.baked this fresh molasses bread and gave us extra and that sustained us for the entire trip. Do you know what that bread is called, she said every Icelandic woman makes it...lol
You make me want to visit it would be my first time out of the u.s. It looks so beautiful and peaceful and slower in pace i need that( i live in los angeles).

Agreed! Those bathrooms are new at Þingvellir and I was pleasantly surprised when I saw them. The Panorama Lodge is stunning. I thoroughly enjoyed staying there and plan to go back.

I’m a black woman in OR in a town where people who look like me are less than 1 percent and it makes me so happy to see black women living, loving, and thriving I spaces where being a minority can be a challenge. I kind of feel like my current living situation is preparing me for when I do travel . You’re super beautiful and lovely to listen to, thank you for sharing your life with us it is a blessing and so inspiring🌸💚 Also, all of the scenery and nature spots are my dream environment to live in. Wow. I love so many things. The Friðheimar Greenhouse & Restaurant (I love food, the breads and the soups look delish, plus how cool that place is, plus it is warmth inside...it can't get better than that. I love the crater , the geysers, that lodge is so fab. But my favorite has to be the Brúarfoss Waterfall. Your face against it! It looked like a postcard. Just magical!!

Planning on doing a trip to Iceland in October (so excited!!) do you have any shoe recommendations for someone who doesn't hike much? I'm from Florida so I probably wouldn't get much use of an expensive pair or quality hiking shoes so would good athletic sneakers be fine for a Golden Circle tour? Thanks!

How many American people of color have ever visited another country other than in the military? Americans feel that there is crime once they cross the border and they don't bother to learn another language. They don't like to travel alone without their smartphone and a friend within a few minutes away. I like watching you and Itchy-Boots travel the world alone and see what most Americans are missing.
I can’t speak for everyone but I do know many people of color that are afraid of traveling outside of where they live because they don’t know ho they will be treated. I’m not saying it is the right mindset but it could be part of the reason for many.

Wow....Beautiful color! It reminds me of the water in Lake Tahoe and I’d love to see it in person! Iceland is only one of two places on the planet that has a rift zone on land. You should do a road trip of Road 427 either from the airport heading to Selfoss (so many hidden gems) or exploring Hella using the backroads to go towards the mountain. We wanted to go farther but then we hit the F-Roads, and had to turn back.....I was so bummed. I think your viewers would appreciate the smaller lake, Klelfarvatn. There's some amazing views of it when exploring the hot springs around there.
OMG! You have to tell me the name of that amazing bakery with all those vegan treats. I’m going to Iceland in June and I’d love to pack up some of those goodies for my trip to the Golden Circle.
Mosfellsbakarí is where I got the vegan cinnamon roll. I recommend going to the vegan store (Veganbúðin). They have lots of awesome treats and baked goods.

Beautiful ❤️ but no way would I disrobe in 35 F temperatures. Then come out wet and have to dry and dress. You are a much hardier soul than I am.

can confirm about poop. was day 2 in roadtrip around Iceland. stopped at Laugarbrekka. walked around the back side of one of the structures and what do i smell/find? poop. not even bagged.

You should do a road trip of Road 427 either from the airport heading to Selfoss (so many hidden gems) or exploring Hella using the backroads to go towards the mountain. We wanted to go farther but then we hit the F-Roads, and had to turn back.....I was so bummed. I think your viewers would appreciate the smaller lake, Klelfarvatn. There's some amazing views of it when exploring the hot springs around there.
i hope there will be a video with your suggestions soon. my trip to iceland got cancelled. so i can only watch videos for now. take care.

Mosfellsbakarí is where I got the vegan cinnamon roll. I recommend going to the vegan store (Veganbúðin). They have lots of awesome treats and baked goods.
