DPL Author Series: Dr. Maryemma Graham and Dr. Melba Boyd

Dr. Maryemma Graham is a Distinguished Professor of English at The University of Kansas. Her latest book, The House Where My Soul Lives: The Life of Margaret Walker (Oxford University Press), features new insights in the life of Chicago poet Margaret Walker. Walker was part of the African-American literary movement in Chicago known as the Chicago Black Renaissance.
Dr. Graham will discuss her scholarship and research about Walker with Dr. Melba Boyd, Distinguished Professor of African American Studies at Wayne State University. Dr. Boyd is an award-winning author of 13 books, nine of which are poetry.
