  • The first part of this hairstyle is creating two french braids along the sides of the head.
With my hair parted near the center, I'm going to divide off a section of hair on the left side of the part and divide it into three smaller pieces for the braid.
For a french braid, I'm crossing the side strands over the middle strand, alternating between the two side strands.
After the initial stitch of the braid, I'm going to begin incorporating new sections of hair into the braid as well.
So I'm crossing one side over the middle, picking up a new section of hair and crossing it over and into the middle strand.
Then I'm crossing the other side strand over the middle, picking up a new section of hair and crossing it over, into the middle strand as well.
I'm going to repeat this pattern crossing the side strands over the middle strand while adding in additional sections of hair to create a french braid along the left side of my head.
On the bottom side of the braid, I'm bringing in hair from along the hairline and to the topside of the braid, I'm bringing in hair from along the part line.
Once the braid reaches my left ear, I'm going to stop adding in hair to this side of the braid and continue bringing in hair to the top side of the braid from the top of my head.
Then when the braid reaches the back of my head, I'm going to continue braiding the section a little further down before sliding a bobby pin over the bottom of the braid so it doesn't unravel.
Now that one braid is done, I'm going to repeat the same steps and create a second french braid with the hair on the right side of my head.
Now I'm going to divide off two sections of hair from under the braids and combine them together over the rest of the hair.
Using a clear elastic band, I'm going to tie the hair together.
Now I'm going to flip the ends up and around the elastic so the two sides are twisted.
With the remaining hair, I'm going to create a fishtail braid
I'm splitting the remaining hair into two sections and I'm going to be dividing off sections from one side and crossing it over, adding it into the opposite side.
So I'm taking a smaller section from the left side, crossing it over and adding it into the right section of hair.
Then I'm going to divide off a section from the right side, cross it over and add it into the section on the left side.
I'm going to continue this pattern until the braid reaches near the bottom.
Once the braid reaches far enough down the section, I'm going to take a clear elastic band and tie off the end of the braid.
Now I'm going back over the sides of the braid and carefully pulling small pieces up and out of the elastic. This will make the braid look a lot wider.
I think this is a fun style to wear doing the summer; it has a boho type of vibe. Let me know your thoughts in the comments section below.

One of my reasons that I'm subscribed to this channel is because is Missy diy, not Missy with a mannequin. Not to diss those type of vids (w/mannequin), but it gives me hope that I can do it too! See how she struggles and overcomes it, her hand placement and finishing touches it's amazing! Btw, Kudos for your refreshed imagen! It suits you!

Exactly! And not like with the insane amount of hair that those mannequins have! So not realistic and not reproduceable

I love the braid. You did such a a beautiful job and I am impressed that you can do it without looking in a mirror. Unfortunately, my hair is medium long; it's angled and cut into layers. So, it is not long enough for this style.
