If you want to try hard it, you can turn down your own engine sound to 50% and the enemy's up. 2) Learn the maps and know where the enemy is likely to appear from. 3) Clean your monitor spotless so you can see the enemy pixel, I mean plane, 12km away

it actually still has a dispersion its just too small if your vehicle is using APDS you will notice a shell dispersion around 1KM range sadly in WoT the dispersion is borderline fantasy, probably due to the range being closer although unlike WoT if you haven't noticed it yet the aiming reticle here is directly pointing to where your gun is pointing unless you adjust the range, unlike WoT where it auto adjust for you
it depends in war thunder the dispersion depends on the wind the air density and the tank barrel. one tank that a hate the dispersion for example is the sherman in not easy to use the short 75 at long distances

Theres an achievement for doing it in Sim mode, you can also cheese it by using a missile at top tier. I got it when I hit a bomber randomly with a Panzer 4 APHE.
It's interesting to see your playstyle coming from WoT compared to the typical warthunder top tier player. It seems you're much more mobile, whereas most warthunder players try to find cover, you seemed to constantly keep driving while keeping your head on a swivel, which is very entertaining to watch. I don't know if WOT is the same way, but in WarThunder a lot of high tier players are newbs who bought a premium tank pack and have been playing the higher tiers for like a week. Then there are some 10 year vets who play only ww2/1950s tanks intentionally. Playing WOT for years, even if the mechanics are different, your going to know more about tank warfare tactics etc.. (i'm a WT player)
I want to see more skill playing War Thunder! Switched from WoT to WT myself and I do enjoy WT more myself. I'm sure Skill will master WT as well and teach us all a thing or two.

I have played both war thunder and wot for quite some time, about 7 years in wot and 4-5 in WT, would love to see you play more of this game and actually do videos on its vehicles and whatnot
if you already plays well in WOT, then you can easily master their ground vehicles in WT, it just need some a little more training to drive because most vehicles in WT is sluggish to control than in WOT.

As a retired WoT player, I somehow find War Thunder's grind way less stressful and way funnier then WoT, even though Russian Bias is still a thing, it's not as braindead as WoT's.

@cosmicdistortion4350 exactly, I find War Thunder far less stressful to play. As a main Air RB player and casual Ground RB enjoyer, high tiers are far easier to get mad at, mostly due to AAM's but also funnier then WoT's high tiers.

If they wouldn't have gave the tanks fully decked out with aced crews it would be an ENTIRELY different story. Most people could do good if they didn't have to spade their tanks and grind up the crew points. Now lets see it done with a stick tank and crew at lvl 32 maybe and much much different scenario would most likely appear. Ive been playing WOT a lot, then I moved to WT also playing a lot (have 3 main nations fully researched), so I think I have enough experience in both games to tell you that WT does not take more skill, it takes different kind of skill but not more skill, I would even dare to say that WOT is more competitive.

But Wargaming ruined their game quite a while back and the best thing I ever did was leave that game. Did all that time in Clan wars got the T22 and Obj907 and T95E and a few others but it was all a waste of time honestly and I still have my account but it's been sitting dormant for a very long time. I think it was 2019 or 2020 hell I can't remember its been that long last time I played it. But playing WT for the last decade I can truly say it does take a bit of a better type of skill that WoT takes as WT is realistic and WoT is arcade so 2 big differences as well as WT has air and heli support with tanks all in one match. Eitehr way people have there way and what they want to play and like and Im more into realistic/Sim not arcade hopefully you choose the game you enjoy having fun in cause I went at it all wrong and made it more like a sport were if I didn't win it wouldn't be fun for me and that's probably from the way I was raised. It is like you are comparing Call of Duty or Counter-Strike and Hell Let Loose, Counter-Strike is a lot more competitive game, even thought hell let loose is a lot more realistic and "conditionally" harder. They require totally different set of skills and knowledge, I would even dare to say that WOT is harder for newbie and I'll give you an example. In WOT you have some hidden illogical mechanics like hiding behind bush, so if you are behind a bush at enough distance you'll never be seen even when shooting, and for new player not knowing those mechanics he'll be like WTF, on the other hand WT is pretty logical, you have to use your eyes and common sense. Also in my opinion, at least at top tier, WT is less balanced then WOT, in WT you have blatantly OP vehicles that have huge RNG on them, like shooting T-80 BVM directly at the ammo and shot just going through it like nothing happened.
Ya idk I havent play WoT in a LONG time so have no clue what else they have done to that horride game but for me WoT was easier to learn because they taught you everything the second you opened the account for the game well at least when I started playing that game anyways. They taught you the spotting mechanics they tell you were to shoot the enemy for penetration it gives a green or red cross on the enemy which tells you and then you get a health bar WoT made it so simple that a 3 year old could do it and then from switching over to WT it was actually hard to play WT you get no health bar nothing to tell you if you are spoted like in WoT where it tells you with a light bulb above your tank that u are spotted and gonna get shot at WT doesn't have a thing like that at all so one shot one kill in WT for WoT its 7 or 8 shots and its a kill the mechanics are arcade correct and the switch from WoT because that was the first game pretty much for a tank vs tank game. But you can compare the 2 cause we are right now back and forth and 9 out of 10 times WT beats WoT I used to like WoT making sure i 3 striped each tank and stayed in the WN8 range over 3200 which was tough at some times but that just made it a farming game getting the best light tank so no one can spot you and pull back from a bush so you yourself don't get spoted from firing the cannon and the artillery I would just one shot everything and then the amount of cheaters in WoT was outstanding he'll even I opened a new account and downloaded one and tried it and the account never got banned so that tells much about there cheat police just like WT they don't do much either. But nice meddage back and forth take care and hope you still enjoy WoT cause I lost that many many years ago and WT took place of that and its been 10 years and I haven't got sick of WT still but couldn't say that about the WoT game and there money grabs premium tanks non stop make believe cartoon tanks just couldn't do it for me and I do wish I never wasted my time on that game cause it sucks you in a hole that is a rough one to climb out of. I tried WT during the pandemic. The planes are fun but the grind is absolutely soul sucking..
Tanks are fun too, but the whole grinding system ist horrible

Did all that time in Clan wars got the T22 and Obj907 and T95E and a few others but it was all a waste of time honestly and I still have my account but it's been sitting dormant for a very long time. I think it was 2019 or 2020 hell I can't remember its been that long last time I played it. But playing WT for the last decade I can truly say it does take a bit of a better type of skill that WoT takes as WT is realistic and WoT is arcade so 2 big differences as well as WT has air and heli support with tanks all in one match. Eitehr way people have there way and what they want to play and like and Im more into realistic/Sim not arcade hopefully you choose the game you enjoy having fun in cause I went at it all wrong and made it more like a sport were if I didn't win it wouldn't be fun for me and that's probably from the way I was raised. @@farmcat9873 I like WT more because I like my vehicles to be realistic, and as you said WOT is arcade game not trying to be realistic, and WT is realistic game so they cannot compare. It is like you are comparing Call of Duty or Counter-Strike and Hell Let Loose, Counter-Strike is a lot more competitive game, even thought hell let loose is a lot more realistic and "conditionally" harder. They require totally different set of skills and knowledge, I would even dare to say that WOT is harder for newbie and I'll give you an example. In WOT you have some hidden illogical mechanics like hiding behind bush, so if you are behind a bush at enough distance you'll never be seen even when shooting, and for new player not knowing those mechanics he'll be like WTF, on the other hand WT is pretty logical, you have to use your eyes and common sense. Also in my opinion, at least at top tier, WT is less balanced then WOT, in WT you have blatantly OP vehicles that have huge RNG on them, like shooting T-80 BVM directly at the ammo and shot just going through it like nothing happened.
Ya idk I havent play WoT in a LONG time so have no clue what else they have done to that horride game but for me WoT was easier to learn because they taught you everything the second you opened the account for the game well at least when I started playing that game anyways. They taught you the spotting mechanics they tell you were to shoot the enemy for penetration it gives a green or red cross on the enemy which tells you and then you get a health bar WoT made it so simple that a 3 year old could do it and then from switching over to WT it was actually hard to play WT you get no health bar nothing to tell you if you are spoted like in WoT where it tells you with a light bulb above your tank that u are spotted and gonna get shot at WT doesn't have a thing like that at all so one shot one kill in WT for WoT its 7 or 8 shots and its a kill the mechanics are arcade correct and the switch from WoT because that was the first game pretty much for a tank vs tank game. But you can compare the 2 cause we are right now back and forth and 9 out of 10 times WT beats WoT I used to like WoT making sure i 3 striped each tank and stayed in the WN8 range over 3200 which was tough at some times but that just made it a farming game getting the best light tank so no one can spot you and pull back from a bush so you yourself don't get spoted from firing the cannon and the artillery I would just one shot everything and then the amount of cheaters in WoT was outstanding he'll even I opened a new account and downloaded one and tried it and the account never got banned so that tells much about there cheat police just like WT they don't do much either. But nice meddage back and forth take care and hope you still enjoy WoT cause I lost that many many years ago and WT took place of that and its been 10 years and I haven't got sick of WT still but couldn't say that about the WoT game and there money grabs premium tanks non stop make believe cartoon tanks just couldn't do it for me and I do wish I never wasted my time on that game cause it sucks you in a hole that is a rough one to climb out of. Thank G@D wargaming ripped me off taking money and then I had to take legal action against. By overall performace and stats. Skill is a really good WoT player and is doing better than most bots in WT lmao. Why need to talk crap while you play a game where you can literally one shoot a tank, truly a skill moment
