Oh yes! The Georgia Cyclone Roller Coaster in Six Flags over Georgia; The very first Amusement park that I had visited, and the very first roller coaster that I had rode on back in 1996. Good old memories. I love it!🎢
Amazingrocket8 Playz , Hey there !!! They changed the ride to the “Twisted Cyclone”! You should go check it out is now smooth as ever, and they changed it up a bit!
this ride was freaking amazing, the roughness of it makes it so fun and it's fast and it throws you off because it's much longer that what you can see from the outside looking in.
This was always my favorite coaster in the park because the hangtime you get from the first drop - I literally always thought I was going to float out of the seat lmao.
Brandon McCurley yea they changed it to the blue halk. but atleast you don't hit your all over there place since they really only changed the seats and name
This was the first roller coaster I rode that wasn’t one of those “go in a circle with no speed on a dragon” in a fair but the first REAL roller coaster
I have a similar story. For the longest time, I would NOT touch a wooden roller coaster. But then I took a ride on none other than THE Coney Island Cyclone and I was hooked. Now wooden coasters are my favorite.
This ride is my fav. When I went yesterday I rode it like 10 times in total and the front row is the best. It is not even that bumpy and the ride is way smoother that the Great American Scream Machine. I love it!
Throughout the 90s, I rode this coaster so much. I loved it. When I ride roller coasters, I always have to ride in the front, and this one was very fun. To me, there's no bigger rush than sitting up front and looking down the tracks on the first hill. Amazing! I so miss this coaster. Very fun times.
My best friend and I rode this back in 1994. There was this little boy and his great-granda riding behind us. That first drop was no joke. I thought I was going to fly out of the car. Legit the noisiest ride I've ever been on, but I'm so glad I got a chance to ride it
I never went on it when it was Georgia Cyclone, only Twisted Cyclone. I love Twisted Cyclone but I wonder why RMC cut the ride short and didn't do the third lap like Georgia Cyclone does. I guess they have their reasons, just curious.
Hoo boy... Long before I was a coaster fan, I rode this at a young age. It was my first roller coaster, and having already seen videos of roller coasters, I thought I was ready. I thought I could handle it. It was years before I touched another coaster.
Went here last year in sixth grade for band. First ever theme park and roller coaster. And oh boy, i sat in a seat by myself and i was about six inches above the seat on the first drop. It was bad at the drops but the rest was really fun.
I'm glad I was able to ride this as it was before it became twisted cyclone. I may have almost lost my glasses towards the end, but it definitely was a fun experience as I held onto my glasses for dear life
Lord, I remember when I was 7 we came here and immediately rode this coaster. This ride basically gave me a fear of heights that I still haven't completely gotten over. (It was my first actual roller coaster. Probably not the best one to start out with.) Honestly, looking at this video, it does not look as bad as I remember, but I probably need to see it in person again to make any final judgements.
They should give this the Ghostrider treatment: re-track, re-profile, new trains, increased speed. The layout of this looks fantastic, it's just really rough looking. It has so much potential to be a great airtime machine whitout being converted by RMC.
The first time I visited Six Flags over GA, this was the first coaster I road. At about the second or third drop, it forced me back into my seat and my head slammed against the headrest. Needless to say, my head hurt pretty bad from it, but that didn't stop me from laughing about the people freaking out behind me. Lol. It's a decent coaster, just make sure you you keep good posture when riding it so you don't get a concussion. haha
Kinda sad that it’s gone since it’s historical, but also it was my least favorite in the park after the Ninja (is Ninja any better since the retheming? Was it bad tracks/trains/restraints and were they fixed or does it still feel like you’re getting beaten to death?) so I’m not really going to grieve it. My mom aptly described it as “feeling like you’re in a popcorn machine” and my wooden coaster of choice (Scream Machine) is still in the park so I’m good. UPDATE: Went back to the park for the first time in years a few weeks back and good ridence wooden tracks! Twisted Cyclone is my favorite ride in the park. To make an omelet and all. Also, to answer my own question about Ninja, Blue Hawk's new restraints/trains are a vast improvement but it's still a little rough in some parts and just over all not as fun as most of the other coasters in the park. It's a skip, but not a potential day-ruiner anymore. Gave me a little headache, but I popped a Tylanol and got over it within an hour.
First rollercoaster I ever rode. I had to have been probably 7 or 8 years old. I got my mom on it. She doesn’t ride coasters but I guess she wanted to experience my first coaster with me. She’s never rode another coaster with me but we had a blast lol
I sadly chickened out on this one and never got to ride it but I did ride the twisted cyclone its pretty cool and the Scream machine is my all time favorite ride they are so rough
I went last week with two of my friends and my sister and my friend chickened out ride when we were about to leave then me and my other friend rode 4 times before we left! It was a super fun ride but it's really bumpy but when you put your hands up you don't feel a thing
This ride is ICONIC....SFOG never should have converted this ride to a RMC transformation, instead this ride should have been kept and simply built a brand new RMC coaster......As an amusement park, you always preserve what you have for generations, never tear down ...
This was only my second large coaster. (Both so far have been wooden). Rode it twice, and on the second ride, I was in agony at every drop and turn. So painful....
I Love this ride!!! I don't find it very rough, and I ride it many times every visit. Favorite seat is the second from the back. Amazing airtime! I do have to admit though, even after 5-8 rides, I start to feel a headache...
I had an awful ride on this during HITP 2014 in the dark near the back. I'm not fond of Dinn, but I'm willing to try this again given that I love Viper at SFGAm (clone) when I go back to SFOG this upcoming HITP.
@TheZwinkyStuff Bro, you should ride the scorcher. It's amazing. :) Dont worry about the drops and loop/corkscrew. Gravity will keep you locked in for sure.
this was my first ever roller coaster and i thought i was going to fall out of my seat lol and its so rough like i had hit my back so many times and i now have a bruise from that
OMG im like 10 years old and this was my first six flags niggish rollercoaster lol im too scared to go on big metal giants lol.... do you think I should go on the scorcherer??? To face my fears because the scorcherer looks like so much fun but i'm afraid of going down and going upside dows because i might fall out of my seat?
I actually miss this ride. Twisted Cyclone is fun but so damn short!
If only twisted cyclone had a third lap...
Then it might beat wicked psyclone
Andre Nimene true but it is the best roller coaster in the park
Rhys The Gymnast i don’t know..... the back row Goliath makes it tough!
i don’t miss the Georgia back breaker
Oh yes! The Georgia Cyclone Roller Coaster in Six Flags over Georgia; The very first Amusement park that I had visited, and the very first roller coaster that I had rode on back in 1996. Good old memories. I love it!🎢
william nelson my first, too. I'm excited to see it after they do their modifications.
Nice name, by the way.
Cyclone was buillt way before 1996 i remember riding the The Georgia cyclone way back in 91 and 92 as a Kid
I thought it was new i didnt know it was renovated
Yes
I’m glad I got to ride this ride before they changed it.
What did it change to?
Amazingrocket8 Playz , Hey there !!! They changed the ride to the “Twisted Cyclone”! You should go check it out is now smooth as ever, and they changed it up a bit!
im not it was terrible on your back
I rode it with my middle school class in 1990.
@@jennifercarpentieri5795 they have both now though
this ride was freaking amazing, the roughness of it makes it so fun and it's fast and it throws you off because it's much longer that what you can see from the outside looking in.
It's shorter now. It returns back to station at around 1:26 or so instead of going on like the old one did.
It felt like the ride was never going to end!

You mean airtime?
Airtime and hangtime are different lol
Twisted Cyclone is awesome but I miss the trees from back in the day.
This was the first rollercoaster I ever went on... I do love Twisted Cyclone though
One word to describe this coaster: Painful.
After riding this, I hurt in places I didn't know I had.
Jarring and noisy!
100% the best ride that I have rode. Its rough but I love that. This and the ninja are my favorite. It's way better at night btw!
I loved the ninja until they changed it 😩
Brandon McCurley yea they changed it to the blue halk. but atleast you don't hit your all over there place since they really only changed the seats and name
This I loved, the Ninja was genuinely painful af 😂.
Are you fucking high?

I rode this many years ago and loved it. It was bone shaking in every way but I still remember it quite well. Nice video too.
I was shocked that Six Flags had to retire a good rollercoaster . The Cyclone will be missed !
This is my favorite ride. I love it.
I miss this coaster. my first coaster when I went to six flags
Let’s all just give a thank you to encourage for making this such a amazing ride
This was the first roller coaster I ever rode. And the first theme park I ever visited.
This was my favorite ride. Me and my cousin rode this 11 times in a row without stoping
For those that miss this ride, if you visit NY, the carbon copy Coney Island Cyclone in Brooklyn is exactly the same.
Or go to Viper at Six Flags Great America
Man I miss this ride.
always think I'm going to hit my head on the dip
I never went on it when it was Georgia Cyclone, only Twisted Cyclone. I love Twisted Cyclone but I wonder why RMC cut the ride short and didn't do the third lap like Georgia Cyclone does. I guess they have their reasons, just curious.
I sat in the second row with my sister and I felt like my head was gonna fly off. And I got a sore neck after that.
I miss this

It's rough but extremely fun. I think this and the Great American Scream Machine are what a roller coaster is supposed to be.
May you rest in peace GA cyclone, your son twisted cyclone stand in your place
Love the black of the old wooden coasters!
This has the best wooden roller coaster drop in the park. It hurts though...
This was my first rollercoaster ever. I felt like I was going to fall out every second I was on it, but it was fun. xD
Aye this was also my first roller coaster
@@mako3683 this was my first roller coaster too lol
Lol this one looks like it's about to break. It's always been the first one I go on when I get to the park though.
Gone but not forgotten , best of memories riding this coaster at Six flags😅😊❤🎉
Lol normally I don't like rough roller coasters, but this one is one of my favorites. Too bad it's not more well known.

BLUE TNT 120 Definitely will!
beastofburden yep only if they remade it by extending the park and setting it beside the twisted cyclone
I was scared to ride the twisted cyclone for the first time
Goodbye Georgia Cyclone. Hello Twisted Cyclone!!!!!
The drops are fun and all but this ride shakes you around like a can of whipped cream.
Of course; it was made by the Dinn Corporation
I heard they put Rocky Mountain Construction topper track like a year later or something on some sections to make it smoother.
I sadly chickened out on this one and never got to ride it but I did ride the twisted cyclone its pretty cool and the Scream machine is my all time favorite ride they are so rough
I'm assuming they have, because last I saw it, the tracks of the initial climb had been disassembled.

I've read on Wikipedia that this ride got covered with "Rocky Mountain Construction" topper track to make it smoother, did it help?
The first roller coaster i ever rode, and boy did I feel like throwing up once it was over lol
Coasterforce, did they recently add new seating? It was a lot more smooth the second time I rode it.
Already miss this ride
I would like Twisted Cyclone much more had they not gotten rid of the third round of the ride. It's far too short
This was my first ride. I ride it when i was about 9 and trust me i was terrified butin the end it Is one of the best rides there.
Have you tried it yet this season? They replaced over 30% of the track with newer wood track that allows for a smoother ride.
I miss it. Just needed an updated work

this used to have a sign up top that said this is the most a roller coaster can be.... right before you dropped lol
Bout broke my damn back on this ride lol
This is an underrated ride. Sure, it may be a bit rough, but it is filled with "tons" of ejector airtime. Do you agree, Coasterforce?
This is the only roller coaster that I like. It's the only one i'll ride whenever I go lol :)
@TheZwinkyStuff Bro, you should ride the scorcher. It's amazing. :) Dont worry about the drops and loop/corkscrew. Gravity will keep you locked in for sure.
My favorite roller coaster. I was beyond sad when I heard that they were tearing it down, and am anxious to see what they replace it with.
I never got a chance to ride this one. The line was always so long.

EXACTLY! We rode this ride first and nope!
Man, this ride looked rough. What was it about Dinn Corporation that made their woodies so painful?
I like how Twisted ?Cyclone almost fallows the same layout in the 1st half.
Now this ride has been renovated and changed to become the twisted cyclone and it is 10 times better 2018 anyone
This ride is awesome!!
This was my first rollercoaster ride ever. I felt like dying ;-;
i got stuck on this ride for half an hour at the tomb of the climb.. in mid summer, wasnt the most fun thing ever
I just don't know what some people's beef is with this Coaster. I just rode it today and it is the best woodie ever in my opinion.
I loved this ride so much I love six flags even though I couldn't breath and it was loud
Think this is on the list to get the RMC treatment?
hopefully
David Barden i pray
It's likely. Six Flags has announced that the Georgia Cyclone will be closing for good on July 30th.
David Barden rmc is coming to town. They have announced a rmc treatment
David Barden it is I just went yesterday and it was already being taken down
It's SUCH a fun ride it is just completely pain.ful.
