Tamasha was a piece of real magic on the screen, tremendous substance , actually it was very difficult in humble views to nail that part to perfection however, Ranbir just did that and rightly so.
Ranbir totally gets into the skin of the character. He is one of those rare actors who can turn into another person on screen and yet retain his offscreen charisma and charm.

This humble man says what he did with sanju cannot be compared with Daniel Day Lewis but the whole world knows he was phenomenal in Sanju and indeed can be compared to the likes of Lewis, Brando etc. While on the other hand, Ranveer Singh Bhavnani so casually compared himself to Daniel Day Lewis that I hit the floor so hard that day. What a gem this man is. ❤

This guy knows his work. And he is deeply madly in love with his work. You can see his seriousness when it comes to acting. He is obsessed with art. And that's how a true artist is born. He isn't here for money coz he has tons of it. He is here for his love for art and acting. Really hope this film gives him the fame he deserves as an actor not as son of a superstar or playboy ... But as a true obsessed actor.
I watched Tamasha in theatre. At first my reaction was like everyone else," what the heck? Why is this so boring?".Most of us didn't go to theatre expecting to be schooled about philosophy of life and a journey of self-discovery.Usually people expect a Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani or Bachna Aye Haseeno from Ranbir and Deepika and not such a deep thoughtful cinema. It actually made sense to me when I went back home and watched it again later.The essence of the movie is not understood by many.People wanted to be "entertained" and not introspect their lives.I love the movie Tamasha.Ranbir should be proud of Tamasha.
I slept in the theater. After a year I saw the film and I was like wtf I was thinking. That film is amazing.
I think the only problem with the movie was its trailer...we all thought it's gonna be a rom com, which wasn't the case.

The line goes like,
"Maine Yehi Socha Hai Aksar
Tu Bhi Main Bhi Sabhi Hain Sheeshe
Khud Hi Ko Hum Sabhi Mein Dekhein
Nahi Hoon Main Hoon Main To Phir Bhi"
The writer (Arjun Rampal) projects himself with all his ebbs and flows into the character (Ranbir Kapoor) he creates. The writer is an egoistic guy. Not vulnerable to life and very defensive when it comes to love and self-acceptance. This obscures him from providing a satisfactory closure to his work. The female lead helps him to understand this idea of being vulnerable to truly create meaningful art.
This is what I understood from Roy.
And yup, I actually appreciated it.

If we won national award how can we say he is great actor it depends on film success and judges precption I think he can win national award for rockstar,tamasha,and now sanju so then learn of his acting and aagy bado
aravind kumar it takes a lot more than mere Bollywood flicks to win a national award and the award winners like Mohanlal and Kamal Hasan or even a Konkona Sen are better actors. Ranbir is a good actor, no doubt, but still got miles to go to reach the other people's calibre. Bollywood is not the be all and end all of Indian cinema. If you're limited by it, then that means you've not been exposed to better movies which explains your reasoning

Excluding his personal life, Ranbir is an amazing actor. He’s probably the best male actor of our decade and probably his generation. He knows how to use is craft. I’m honestly not mad that he has a easier journey into Bollywood because he’s a star kid.

Today it's actually a rare thing to see actors speak so intelligently! There is a very deep, intelligent side to him and that shows ,unlike other actors who speak without thinking or worse try to appear intellectual. Ranbir and SRK are a treat to listen to!
