Stewart and Alina - as an expatriate Scot living in Canada I can't tell you how much I appreciate the views of the Auld Country you provide. And, of course, I always benefit from, and appreciate your tips on flying and filming...
Wow! This video is packed with incredible tips for capturing stunning drone footage. Alina's piloting skills are on point, especially in those active tracking shots! Lowering the drone truly makes a world of difference. The landscape shots become so much more immersive, and the close-up maneuvers with the trees add incredible depth. I can't wait to put these techniques into practice on my next flight. Thanks for such an informative and engaging video!
Great video Stewart and Alina! Been flying off and on for a while, but just recently upgraded to the Mini 4 pro! This makes much more sense to fly lower to get that sense of excitement. Great work! Wish I had the scenery you have! 😁
I really liked all the scenarios you guys put together👌. Very informative and impressive. Thanks for all your effort and I will keep all these as part of my reference to make a good aerial coverage.
hi Stewart. I would appreciate if you could make tutorial for making drone videos to blend people and the area. I am imagining shots of my wife and the beautiful background. not many UA-camrs are exploring this potentials.
Great video and info. Noticed the change in color in your video. I do no enhancements, just post the video as it was taken after adding sound from Cap Cut. What program to you use to edit?
We use FCPX. CapCut is pretty great for colour grading though. It's got all the tools you could require plus lots of presets/LUTs to give your footage a look.
Thanks for the comment! I'm using the DJI RC which has a built-in screen. On this, you can record the screen to the controller and transfer the video file to the computer. Assuming you don't have that controller, you'll need to so a screen recording on your phone.
Oops. Sorry, fat finger hit downthumb. Came back and hit 👍 to compensate. The comparisons were very instructives. The landscape is so photogenic so you did have a headstart 😅
My follow me decided to unfollow me and follow another white car going in the opposite direction while near Glenshee, drone eventually returned to home after disappearing for 5 mins!
@@steve-and-drones thank God I live in a European country with plenty of sight seeing where "drone police" is virtually invisible 🫥 It helps that I fly a mini 3 pro with no remote 🆔

Thanks for sharing this..... you are always my guide on drone" road "
Thank you 😊
Another great video. Well done.👍
So nice seeing what can be done if one knows what they are doing. Inspirational.
Really appreciate the kind words!!
Your videos always help us get more fun from our drones. The Purple Heather was awesome! Btw, nice haircut by Alina😎
Thank you! This was the first time we caught the purple heather at just the right moment. Quite spectacular!
Absolutely brilliant… thanks for the tutorial and useful tips.
Thanks for another excellent educational video.
Brilliant guys 👌🏻

Great video Stewart
Great content as always ❤
Awesome video. Great effects focused on technique, not hardware. Keep them coming.
Appreciate you saying that! We've been a bit gear/review focused lately. Working hard to change that!
This video refreshed my skill set. Thanks so much!
Fantastic stuff - thanks for the comment!
Sooo true 👍

Great stuff, but also to remember catching the golden hours make it a epic shot 😉
True! But if it's not raining in Scotland it's "golden" I'd say!
These are the videos that make you standout on UA-cam
Thank you for the kind words! This is our strategy going forwards so your comment is really appreciated.
Very nice tips
Another amazing video 👌🏻you guys make really great and good looking videos
Thanks so much!
Superrr!!!! 5:00 modify framing a little bit. How? Just manipulating the drone while active tracking?
Exactly right. You don’t have to have central framing when using active track. You can reposition the drone as required. Cheers!
I'm the that guy that's always flying his drone to high, LOL. Great tutorial, I'm taking notes as I'm watching the video. Thanks for sharing,
Appreciate that Ron! Always happy to read your comments!

Scenario 7: Move to Scotland 😉
It helps!
👏👏👏
I have the original Mavic Mini. How do I get all the on screen flight information on the footage as you often illustrate on your great videos?

Very true!!
Too much Stewart NOT enough Alina. LOL
My follow me decided to unfollow me and follow another white car going in the opposite direction while near Glenshee, drone eventually returned to home after disappearing for 5 mins!
Wow! I’ve not come across that before, but I can see how that would happen. A bit of unexpected excitement for that flight!
Just buy an FPV
Nice and usefull video.
Off topics: you may be needing to be parents..Alina looks too sad..
fly VLOS and don't fly over anyone in the USA
Those rules kill the enjoyment of flying a drone 🧋
@@fendrou yep, but FAA called me one time and it wasn't a good thing.
