Great guide- pretty much what I did with mines regarding the templates. I masked my original spoiler at either end instead of drawing directly on it. Now, this is the same spoiler that Diversion sell.. the top deck becomes more rippled over time and the uprights cracked in the winter :( As much as I loved it when I first installed it, in hindsight I should have gone for the plastic one and painted it.
@ Strange, I have a white 2011 TTS black edition and the badges are chrome. I’ve had the car for 4 years and this winter I pulled the plug, I’m spending some money on the exterior to make it look a little modified. Thankfully there’s not much you have to do since it already is stunning.
Another solid video, Phil. Just straight to the point with everything! We specifically produce LEDs for auto. Can we invite you as a collaborator to do a review? If so,How can we connect with you?
Prefer the natural lines of the car to any wing. I am trying to remove my fixed wing but coding in the stock spoiler is proving complicated. OBD11 is not able to write the code so i am hoping VCDS can resolve it. It's very weird. It's as if OBD can detect the module but is unable to code it. The spoiler light is usually on in the centre console so I suspect a bodge job when the previous owner fitted the fixed wing. It is (was) a genuine Audi Sport wing so it's all a bit strange because I wonder if it was fitted from factory. Any thoughts welcome. Would it mess things up with the wing fitted if the car thought the spoiler was down??? Can VCDS tell the car what position the spoiler is in?
Is the motor and all the wiring still fitted to the car? Some people have also cut the arms that move the spoiler up and down when fitting a fixed wing
@philscars yep mate all hunky dory. Got a mate popping over with VCDS on Thurs to have a go. Only other thing I can think of is checking the fuses (mine is pre facelift) so I will be doing that shortly.
@philscars update just incase you ever come across this issue - VCDS worked straight away. Maybe the pre-facelifts don't respond well to OBD11 or something. Seems unlikely but yeah, where OBD11 failed VCDSA succeeded
I knew i recognised your voice from another channel. 😁

Hmmm, I will keep my eye on it
Hello there, really nice job!
The spoiler adds so much to the aesthetics of the car.
Do you have a link for your rear black Audi badge?
hi, thanks for watching, as mine is the "Black Edition" I assume it came with the black badges
