- Crankworx Summer Series is wrapped up, so it's back to riding bikes just for fun! A few friends and I decided that the Mount Cartier heli-biking drop in Revelstoke was the ticket. The trail definitely had a little bit of everything over the 7000ft descent.

Did you know we have a race on that trail? Hahaha we’ll have to show you the jump lines at the top, oh and that helipad we built last year, it was a mega 12hr day!!!

Live in Revy, I've hike-a-biked that mountain a couple times now. Easily one of my favourite trails in Revelstoke
how long does it take to hike up?
@@GentlemaniacMetanoian Depends on fitness level. Last time it took a buddy and I 6 hours of moving time pushing our bikes up with a few breaks littered about. First time I made it up, including breaks, in a little under 7 hours. It's a 17km trail with a lot of vertical, so it takes a while haha. That said I've met people who have hiked it round trip in less than 6 hours, but that was with significantly less gear
@@brianlanglois9597 wow a 7+ hour hike, slower with a bigger group (like always). I think I'll pay for the chopper ride hehe. Nice work!
@@GentlemaniacMetanoian it's really not that bad. You're a bit tired by the end, but water and granola bars cost a lot less than a helicopter, and I'm poor. Easy choice
I would just hike to the cabin and ride down from there. The trail above is meh.

I'm curious if its because spesh won't give him a bike, or if he wants his trailbike to be way more playful. But you'd think they would want him on an enduro when he raced those enduros...
@@justind5262 I don't think there would be any problem for him to get any bike he wants from Specialized, he's one of the top DH racers in the world and a huge name in MTB especially here in Canada.
@@hobmarg he said the stumpy feels more playful and since its lighter its more fun
Riding in a heli is quite the experience, especially if you don't do it regularly, with the doors off is even more of a rush. Caught a few glimpses of the spectacular views you were talking about, but only small ones, next time when you're talking about the views, have the cameraman pan and show the actual views.

Because it's actually too gnarly and dangerous. It's too steep and if you got OC it just leads into steeper
