Nice video... Personally, I'd exchange MySQL for MariaDB. MySQL plays by dual license with many features behind a paywall, MariaDB begun as a fork of MySQL when Oracle acquired Sun and is full GPL.
Would be interesting to know if the license or paywall was the main reason behind the switch. I know that recently Ghost switched the other way around from MariaDB to MySQL and that could be an important point of comparison when folks want to choose one over the other.
Having selected 5 out of so many dbms out there, we're bound to miss out some. Maybe we'll do a part 2 on databases. What do like about SurrealDB? I am curious now.
