I have traveled most of the world.
But, many of the places I go, YOU wouldn't want to.
Iraq (during the conflict), Afghanistan (during the conflict), Niger on a desolate drone base in Africa. You know, fun places!
Hopefully in Japan where you travel, you're not getting shot at, mortared, rocketed, or driving over IED's and dodging suicide bombers.
Most of the local people I met (Host country nationals) are good people who just want to live a decent life and take care of their families without fear of someone telling them that they have to do this or that or believe this or that.
We lost one of our plumbers one night just because he owned a car and the insurgents wanted it to make a car bomb out of it to run into the gates.
Imagine everyday that you go to work in the Green Zone to make decent money working for the Americans and you have to first stand outside the main gate waiting to get searched and admitted and all the while wondering if the guy next to you has a bomb under his coat or the car in front of you is loaded.
Many times around 6 AM I'd hear a car bomb go off somewhere near the gate.
Don't get me wrong, I like your guided experiences there in Japan but you ought to know that there are other places on earth no so..............simpatico.

@Kendall's Intentions when I went back in 2018, I did things like meiji jingu, yoyogi park, takeshita-dori, yoshinoya, mall in odaiaba, but I never did skytree/tokyo metropolitan.
This time tho, I wanna go to shibuya sky, I want to check out magnet in shibuya, 109 for my girl, I want us to try to either go to Osaka or Kyoto nd I wanna go to kawaguchiko. I want to do tsukiji, I wanna have us hit up a actual izakaya, I want us to do team labs, go to a teacup pig cafe nd cat Cafe.
Soo much to do, we only have 7 days there so I'm gonna def try to make the most of it.

I did buy this skirt in Japan! I bought it at a department store my host mom took me to in Nagoya, but I don’t remember the name 🥺 I’ve seen a lot of long skirts for sale in Japan!

5 years later, you would be able to see new skyline of Tokyo from Tokyo Torch Tower which would be
built near Tokyo Station.
By the way, If travelers would like to go to countryside of Japan, I recommend them to visit Yamagata Prefecture. They have good ramen restaurants, Yamagata beef& Imoni soup, good rice&sake, No.1 cherry in the world in June, Mt.Zao, Yamadera, Mogami river, Mt.Haguro, good Onsen Ryokans and so on.

There’s so much to explore in Japan and I’m pleasantly overwhelmed trying to see as much of it as I can!! I love nature and the countryside, so I planned a trip to Furano and Biei in May. Soooo excited!! Now you’ve got me thinking I should go try the best cherry in the world…. 👀

places in Japan.
By the way, if you would like to taste best cherry, I recommend you to go to Higashine City in Yamagata Prefecture in mid June.
If you could call or drop by their tourism and local products association, they will guide you
to the local farm in mid June.
Then, you can experience picking and eating best cherry at farm.

Amazing video again! Do you use a Suica card to get around on the trains?
Thank you!! ☺️ in general, I’ve been using my Manaca card by putting money on it, but in Tokyo I mostly used a 72-hour subway pass. However, truth be told, paying for public transport still confuses me… my 72-hour card only covered some of the train lines, and now you’ve got me thinking maybe I need a Suica card 😂
