Absolutely amazing cue ball control and object ball planting. This man is the goat. Efren Reyes is on pocket billiards. The Rocket is in the overall to me. 12 foot shots! Five rail cue ball rolls for perfect position. Essentially, all of you snooker guys are the best and Ronnie is the best of you all. This from a US guy. Don't ever hear you guys complaining about room humidity. Over here there are guys that complain about silly stuff like that on smaller tables with larger balls that sit on the cloth with more mass. and some idiot is trying to start a tradition of jumping up on the table if they win a match. Don't see you guys doing that either. I saw an outsider dump a bunch of colored powder on a table there once, interrupting a match. But other than that, you guys have a quite honorable, respectful attitude and conduct toward the whole thing. Spot on, as they say.

There is no comparison to Ronnie. You need to compare him to Hendry not Efren.

Nice complements, thank you from across the pond. Snooker was always a gentleman's sport, much like rugby. But, yes, we English may have invented/codified many sports and routinely get thrashed nowadays, but in snooker we still excel. There was a rumour going around that Efren beat Ronnie in a frame. But is was pre-pro Ronnie in Bangkok, totally casual and Ronnie was pissed. Efren (and Earl also, brilliant player) is/was the man on a pool table, but would be lost in snooker proper. Any guy (top 200) would wipe the floor with the best pool player. Totally different. But, yes, Ronnie is the ultimate and this break is as good as it gets from that kind of setup. Most top players would struggle on that mess of a table in practise even. That was a good few years ago now, but he is still the boy to beat and has many years to go if his head is in it. The only way to get him is to absolutely play out of your skin and don't give him any table time, or hope for the 'other' Ronnie to show up and he be on an 'off' day. But if he has his eye in and is up for it, good luck :P
Of climate control. It does have to be conditioned or the chalk sticks to the cue ball (less of an issue now as reg chalk has changed) while match slate is heated to something like 44C. It makes the balls run better.
Aside: That idiot dumping the powder on the table... likely a lefty liberal with big property / pension trying to mend our wayward ways. Never mind!

Since you like talking trash about pool so much and called Joshua Filler an idiot you should move countries, quit pool, adopt an accent and start playing snooker and see how well you do there because I'll tell ya right now good luck with that because pool to snooker is very hard and you're going to be wanting to kill yourself after 1 shot

The few times I have played snooker, I have concentrated solely on the pot I have to make in order to keep going. Ronnie seems to have that unique ability to SEE all the possible pots and to keep placing the cue ball in exactly the right position to pot the next ball, and yet move into the correct position for the ball after the next ball. THAT suggests an amazing brain!

From a Snooker purists point of view this is the best most difficult and challenging clearance Ronnie ever achieved. But in the context of a match, Alex Higgins clearance against Jimmy White is still the best break under pressure I’ve ever seen. Ronnie’s break here was to go 4-3 up in a best of 35. Alex Higgins break was made in a Semi-final when he was 14-15 down and he had to clear just to stay in the match.
