Hello I love the look and theme of your bad mech and would like to do something similar as a new year new army for 2023. Do you have a build/ conversion guide? Thanks 😁
Sultan is the MVP in this battlerep. I still thought it was the funniest moment of this smackdown how he nuked himself, just when he was ready to unleash the carnage. Well done Winters. Great scenario you came up with.
Is is a great scenario though? "hey spend time setting up your list, drive over, set up, spend another 4 hours playing this scenario for my youtube channel, hey btw two d6 rolls have literally annihilated your entire army." Absolutely nothing about that screams fun, hence the poor guy's reaction and more than understandable saltiness (and everyone's sheer awkwardness re: just how painfully unfair the situation was).
@@simonadamsI am sorry to hear you did not enjoy the game. Let me compensate you with a free virtual hug and some cookies with warm milk. If you need futher venting I happy to hear all about why its unfair and how you would have done it better. Love and kisses from a stranger on the internet.

@@simonadams1. Two blocks in the YT comments voicing their opinion is not a disscussion. 2. What you think is fair critique is just you barking up the wrong tree. 3. You are putting your feelings out there is the definition of venting.
@@sintramdragonis4794 Lol, okay, I will spell it out because you appear a little emotionally stunted; any rule which can arbitrarily leave a player without any chance of winning more than 30mins before end of game is bad game design. This isn't subjective, it is objective, and while it is poor in board game design, in 40k - where the time investment just to get a painted army to the table alone is enormous - rolling not just a 'you lose' number, but a "your overall input in this game is effectively neutered" in turn 3 (IIRC) is just objectively not fun. Fair play to the player for continuing to play, but you can tell from his body language that even a few turns later that he is still clearly frustrated. This isn't me "venting," this is an objective assessment of what happened. The player was clearly frustrated, the other players even mention the tension, and this continued for turns till the player was able to move on from it. It is bad game design. Okay, your rebuttal, go...
On one hand, I wanted to see the Disco Inferno Elves run wild on the other armies. That didn't go as planned in my head. On the other, Sultan did stay true to his Horseman creed. He did deliver death all over the battlefield in the end. A legend in my eyes.
I'm just imagining the biker touches the pillar hoping to get some kind of chaos boon, and Slaanesh happens to be looking down on them at the time going "oooh yummy free eldar"
What a bunch of legends! I've only had the pleasure to play against Sultan at a DZ narrative day out of the 5 of them but he is such an awesome opponent even when I blew up his knight in one turn!
suitably chaotic rule set. A fantastic day with some of the nicest people in the hobby. And Monkey. Thank you Winters for putting up with us and editing all this nonsense together.
Absolutely loved this batrep. Honestly sad it’s over. So awesome to watch the interactions of friends in their hobby. Wish I had a similar group. Fantastic work Winters. Wacky game. Loved every second.
Watching this was great and really cheered me up. It was a pleasure to see how much fun you guys had playing the game! Love your videos Winters, keep up the great work. And I am not even playing Warhammer ...
Guys, i just fucking love you for such a game and such a fun) This report can be taken apart for ten's of memes and epic moments! Just couldn't stop laughing and smiling during all the video long, thanks! Fantastic, absolutely fantastic!
Just had an idea. That Despair system could replace Command Points. in order to spend what would have been a Command Point, you have to accept Despair (and the inherent risk of having higher Despair than an opponent).
I really love these four-way battles. So much chaos, so much fun. But. It really bugs me when people can get multiple combat rounds withthe same unit before their taget has a chance to react. It might be fair, maybe melee units are at a disadvantage in such battles. But, idunno. I prefered it when you ruled there only was a fight-phase if the person whose turn it is, is actually involved in the fight. (Theoriticly with the random turns, if you go first and then is charged and then go last in the next Turn... a unit could fight 6 times before you can fall back or something)
I am not much into WH40K but I appreciate the model work. what these gusy have done is AMAZING especially the imperial (of course) and the other mech faction those models were awesome!
I remember buying the whitedwarf in which dark elder models where first featured I thinking the models were so daft looking. wow they have come a long way. the new models look fantastic (especially when painted up like they are here).
Short version. The chances of that reroll are a little over 2 in a thousand! Long version - The odds of a roll/reroll/reroll/reroll/win between two players are (1/6) * (1/6) * (1/6) * (1/6) * (5/6) or 5/7776. This one happened to start with three players rolling off, which makes it a little more likely than 1/6 that two players out of the three will match. In this case the first bracket would need to work out the probability of exactly 2 matching. That would be 1- (the probability of none +the probability of all matching) or 1- ((5/6 * 4/6) + (1/6 *1/6)).
Would really like to know how Sultan kitbashed the Tantalus. It looks like two raiders with a venom glued on the back but I assume there's more to it than that...
He probably got it from a dodgy chop-shop operating out of a back alley in Commorragh. "Nah, mate,", chortled the mechanic, rubbing her hands with an oily rag, "Its the real deal! This Tantalus had only one previous owner; and she only used it on Slaugtherday, to go to the Murder-pits."
Choosing the corner with the fan after winning the rolloff is the biggest brain tactic we've yet seen
Truly a strategic mastermind.
Agreed. We are talking Rommel level tactics there.
Best decision I made all day
