I'm almost 50 years old and this reminds me of my Dad who passed last year. Some of my best times as a kid were with him at his farm (aka grung). 😁 My best Christmas was with my Dad, Mom and Brother at his Farm for the day....things taste so different when its cooked in the bush on wood fire. This pudding looks just like what my parents made....nice and rustic. Keep it up Colaz, Socks and Team....loving the videos.

I think I'll try making potato pudding . My dad was the boss at making potato pudding but he hadn't done it in a while. The ways you guys make it with the tin sheet and coal pot is how I used to see granny and my mom make bread and tarts. Thanks for the memories of my child hood. Never made it with cornmeal, just potatoes and flour and the other things. My mom used to put banana leaves in the bottom of pot of the pudding and then the zinc. Also there use to be a pan called a pudding pan or Dutch pot. Use to eat it with mint tea. For breakfast or dinner on a Thursday night. Must try one soon.
That’s why Jamaican food is so spectacular because we all add a little something to make yours taste different but it’s the same potato pudding. Sometimes I add raisins snd a little butter. Unfortunately I haven’t made it for over 50 years. I love it done the old fashion way fire on top and bottom and pudding in the middle. That nice custard top. I yearn for that in New England USA

I think you guys should start a cooking/camping overnight experience on the farm. If you do, whenever I visit I would definitely pay to have that experience. Invest in some sleeping bags. That one would be wicked.
