First research before come to any foreign country!! Even I as an Indian need to wait for atleast 24 hours to get my Sim card activated because all your details would be verified by the network provider before activation. Please be patient and respectful to the locals. India is an extremely diverse and beautiful country. I wish you all the best for your India travel vlog.
People were actually nice to him... he was not listening to guy properly who was giving him information politely about sim card....... everyone was trying to give him correct information in their limited English......remember Airport are expensive ....Dehli is overwhelming for even Indians
He's very passive aggressive towards Indians
In India they will not activate a sim card untill you details have been verified !!!. This usually takes 24hrs .. this is common practise by law !!!.
It's because of terrorism
He's very passive aggressive towards Indians
Mate as per what I've heard, it actually takes 24 hrs to activate a new sim card in India for an outsider/non-indian. Just find out if you can activate one within a few hours from a local Airtel/Vodafone showroom or would otherwise have to wait for 24 hrs atleast.
😂😂😂
Strange system. I was in Thailand and Malaysia this past 2 weeks and both countries activated the tourist SIM within seconds
I had a brain tumor reading this
@@StarScream7ZZ well india is an out of date country
You're screwed in India if you don't get a SIM at the airport. The only way to get one outside is to let someone who already has a number buy one for you.
2 times those bastards at Airtel screwed me because they were too lazy to sell me the card.
first time i went with dutch passport, i look like Indian but i am not from India so they said to me it wil take 10-24 hours to activate and i was like thats too long. so they said, oke go to aitrel shop in delhi, they will sell you one.
Go to airtel shop, Hello i need a new number, Ok Sir what is your old number? i don't have one. koke sir, you need a number so we can send OTP. also give your identification, and adress. give them my Dutch passport and dutch adress. sir we cant use this, we cant sell you India phone number.... but the BC at the airport said you would sell me one and activate it faster for me. No sir, they lied, they are wrong. FML, luckily i got in contact with another dutch guy who had a number but was in Holland and got OTP number so i could activate my sim.
Second time i go to India with OCI card. Behenchod at the airtel shop at the airport saw by OCI, OH SIR! you can get a simcard in delhi at the airtel shop. I say BC last time you send me they refused to sell me. No Sir, you have OCI now, they have to sell you. i say ok.
Go to shop, SIr we cant use OCI, it is not IDentification card... BC .. OCI gives me same rights as indian person. wtf do you mean.
Next time i'll just bite the bullet and tell that BC at the airtel shop to suck it and sell me a god damn sim at the airport. i dont care how long it take to activate.
these people think that you look like Indian, you have Indian heritage that you must be indian and have relatives there.
Airlines that are known for awful service will normally not allow you to film. Air India are among the worst airlines in the world.
My thought also because what’s wrong videoing aircraft
Bro that was rude the way you walked off on that guy that was trying to give you a SIM card. It’s not his fault you couldn’t activate today, it’s the policy in India for security reasons. You walked off on the guy like your some sort of top G. Could of at least heard what he had to say. When you go to another country, show the locals some respect. Just for your FYI, Indians think everyone knows basic maths so when they kept telling you 1 pound = 89 Rupees
And you were still asking how much for 100 pounds, that's where communication can get a little awkward. Next time it happens, just mention that you don't know basic multiplication, they will be happy to help you.

5 pounds for 1.5 GB per day for 28 days is insane. I used to work for american cellular company they charge $10 for 1GB.
yeh, India has the cheapest cellular and data rates.. but he is behaving as if he is being ripped off...
He is so stupid to understand 😂
Postpaid plans from the same company are even cheaper. 75G for a month at around 4 pounds. And the leftover data from a month carries over and adds to next month. If I use 50G in a month, I have 100G for the next month, with 25G added from last month.
I get 2gb / day for 1 month and unlimited data between 12:01am to 6am . Also benefited with 9 gb extra at any time at duration of that 1 month ,and every Saturday and Sunday I got collection of all data which I haven't used from that regular data .............I get all these in just 300rs (3.70$)
Couz in USA there is not much population and there dont have to much trover like a India .. There peoples lived far nd far so .. Provide network every one is costly so why .

I enjoy your videos Ameer but it seems you went to India with a preconceived image that everyone is out to scam you. Not everyone is like that. Same as every country. Case in point the Airtel guy. If you had good advice in the UK they would have told you any chip, contract or pay as you go takes 24hrs to activate in India. No need to be so rude to the guy 🤷♂️
Mybad I apologise
I've said it a few times on here already,. Thailand and Malaysia activated my Tourist SIM within seconds of me purchasing. Why 24 hours in India? As a tourist, you'd want to be connected straight away initially because you'd want to order an Uber.
And have you not seen Karl Rock?! It's seems as though everyone in India IS out to scam you. Telephone scammers. Throwing dog shit on shoe scammers. Even using religion to scam tourists at the Holy Ganga river. India is a stunning stunning country but unfortunately, it's scam central. Be careful out there Ameer
@@StarScream7ZZ in 2008 Mumbai suffered multiple terror attacks around the city. These attacks were carried out by foreign nationals. Ever since then India has stepped up its security measures and makes it mandatory to register your sim with official documents. It takes 24 hours to process, whilst they do security checks ect. It is a pain but you can’t blame the Indians for wanting to protect themselves and their land. Unfortunately many people were killed and injured during the Mumbai attacks.

Entire countries energy is very off putting…They ones you encountered don’t strike me as sincere. Much more prefer the spirit of the 🇵🇰 people!
So one think you’ll notice about the Indian subcontinent is that Pakistans tend to be more polished from a communication stand point. Part of that is culture, part of that is religion.
Indians and Bangladeshis are great at a bunch of things(STEM for example) but Pakistanis tend to be more laid back and easier to talk and engage with.
❤️❤️🇵🇰
What do you mean by off putting?? Everyone greeted him nicely and even shook hands after he landed at the airport. What more you want??
What do you mean by off putting? Most of the people barely speak English and are shy, idk what's your point?
A lot of Indian society looks down on black people. They love caucasians though
The way you just started walking off while the SIM card guy was still talking, as if you were the emperor of India and he was your subject, was incredibly rude to say the least. It was downright offensive. When you set your foot in a foreign land, particularly India, you don't act like you own the place. It creates stereotypes as well. Don't be mad if the next guy looking like you is given bad treatment by the SIM card guy, coz you treated him equally bad.
In the beginning he stated he wanted to get different prices…if you look at all videos he’s very straightforward and not so much rude just his personality. I’ve watched many of his videos and he also has dry humor. He’s not walking around like the emperor of India 🤣🤣🤣 Lastly, he may not have known that it takes 24hours to activate sims card. I believe that’s where the frustration lies
This guy moving loose lol be careful out der mate

Any international traveller to india should buy their Sim card at the airport itself. That ways its easy and reliable. Lot of people have gotten into troubles while trying to buy Sim plans later, you won't know where to get one from, if you find a place the wait time would be huge. Most places outside airport would not know how to sell a Sim card to a foreigner.
That’s 3-4 vedio of him where I find him being rude to someone when he doesn’t get his way ….
Its rule in india activation time for local is 1 minutes or instantly but for Forigners wait for 1 day

420 Rupees for one month and 1.5 GB per day is unthinkable in the UK. Should have gone for it anyways. It's appr £4.20.Dirt cheap compared to the UK. Do the math when you are in India. All the best.
Mate, not everyone in India is there too rip you off. I get it that you are being mindful as these things does happen but not at a currency exchange house. caste system is introduced by British to divide and rule India. they modified India's varna system into caste system with the help of some brahmins. in every section of life people were divided by caste. even elections were held separately for different castes. they introduced another section of people called the untouchables. during their rule people were kept uneducated so they believed what was being by the corrupt brahmins working under the British. unfortunately India's history written by the british.
