  • I was so glad to see how to make this bag. Unfortunately the FB group I found it in is so active I could not re-find it and then had a hard time looking it up on UA-cam because there are so many different ways to make a gift bag. You can make this bag in any size, and save money buy making your own. They are easy to decorate either before you make it or after. I made this video to cement in my brain how to make a bag at any time using any paper. Once you get the hang of it you can use any type of paper material like newspaper or gift wrap to make your bag any size you need. I also created an article with the supplies needed on my blog at www.stuffnthingz.com/no-cut-no...
    I am an independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. The supplies links on my blog will take you to my affiliate sites or to my online Stampin' Up store and I will be compensated for every purchase you make from these links. Your support is much appreciated!

    Thank you. I made a bag out of calendar pages. Very cute. I didn't have tape so I used glue. I'm pleased with it. It's my first bag.

    This is a wonderful presentation assuming the viewer has all the little templates, creaser tools and ink pads usedfor the bag. Could this video have the same results without these utensils? It really is a consructive presentation. Thank you.

      You make an excellent point. I would use a thick pen or small length of wood in place of the bone folder. In place of ink you can use dye ink markers with a brush tip, or if you don't have stamps. You can color or paint on your bag.

    Thank you very much for sharing. I like the idea of custom bags, and you have made it easy to do a large one. Also, may I ask where you got your bone folder from? That one would be a time saver. I have looked and unable to fine one. Happy Holiday & Blessings for a good New Year.

    Nice. That roll of tape looks biggie than any I've seen or that in on the Stampin up site or your blog . Any idea where you purchased it?

      That is from tape jungle. It is like tear n tape but is thicker so I used scissors to cut it to length. Great product for the price! I also buy my atg tape in bulk from them.

    The only thing I see wrong with the bigger bags is that there's a seam in the front too. Also in the bigger bags you could add a piece of cardboard to the bottom and even up under the rim. I tried once making bags from calendar pages but they're not going to hold up to anything that has any weight, besides you can see the calendar inside the bag. This is way better.

      I’m thinking you can fold a short distance from the edge before you attach the second piece of the tear tape (to create the tube). You’d still have seams in the front and back, but they’d be offset instead of centered. Hope that makes sense.

    Wondering if you can use scotch tape if you don't have the tape you are using.

    • @tracymarielewis-stuffnthingz
      @tracymarielewis-stuffnthingz  6 років тому

      Good question, thanks for asking! I would not recommend scotch tape. Get a strong double sided tape from one of the big box crafting stores, or even try a strong glue stick. If you don't own a bone folder you can use any flat implement to crease your paper.

    those are so adorable 😍 Where do you get the stamps with the clear backs?

    • @tracymarielewis-stuffnthingz
      @tracymarielewis-stuffnthingz  Рік тому +1

      That I'd a great question! Wood stamps are becoming a thing of the past. The backs you see are called acrylic blocks. You put either foam backed red rubber or clear ohotopolymer stamps on those blocks. They come in all different sizes.

      I made four bags and have used them all as well as many more. I will post dimensions as I make them - thank you so much for this question, I am amazed no one else has asked.

      Is that double sided tape? What's the name of the tape?
