Hello there, I had few questions regarding 1TR-FE engine. In my country, majority of Toyota Innova sold are diesel, having D4D engine, Very less petrol are sold. 1. How reliable is 1TR-FE engine, if proper care is taken, what can be working life of this engine in terms of years before a bore job/half engine job is needed? 2. Does this engine suffer from any design defect. Example, is there any part which fails on a certain interval, no matter the operating conditions? I'll be more than happy, if you could answer my these 2 questions. Thanks
Dev 1TR-FE Engine has very good progress and no effect. It also has a very long lifespan.But the condition is that there should be regular change of coolant and oil
Hi Mate, can you please help? Can the Head be removed without taking the sump off on a 1TR Hiace? From what I understand there are a few bolts in the sump which also secure the timing chain cover. I need to service my valve guides due to sticky valves
