Shams Tahir needs to check the facts before narrating any story. I found at least 5 wrong informations here-
1- Victoria’s husband died after 21 years of marriage and at that time queen Victoria was just 42 yrs old.
2- Abdul was sent there as a gift on her coronation’s golden jubilee (completion of 50 years) not on her 50th marriage anniversary.
3- Her parents were not that strict but she was such with her family, workers and people. I came to know that during my visit to Windsor castle in 2010.
4- Abdul was not ‘A boy from Agra’, he was born in Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh. His father was a compounder in Jhansi. After Victoria’s death he was given a piece of land in Agra by British rule and that’s why he passed there just 8-9 years before he died in 1909.
5- Ali Fazal is a Lucknow born Indian actor, with no connections with Pakistan.
I am surprised how shams can include such rumours in his narration!! I can see that his writing team keeps doing so every now and then. Even in one of his story about Ohio, USA there were many wrong facts. I live in Columbus Ohio and have been to the historical places he has mentioned in his story.
