AXN my trainer i just replaced with a fresh one i done with the glue gun ,ready to step up to next level , have a PZt-28 and fms p51 800mm , all great flying planes love them all , looking for some speed now , i have a spare axn 2700kv i might install into this radjet some time ,
I've had a Radet 800 for a while. It impressed me from the start. It was awesome, totally stock, out of the box.Definitely the best bang for your buck in this class of model. I too reinforced mine using satay (kebab) sticks in various places including the batt/Rx area, of the fuse as the Radjet will fold there if it has a hard, nose in, arrival,up the nose and wing pods.I added an fin to protect the prop (will bend easily) and fingers-it did not change aerodynamics.Strong tape on the nose too.

If your an intermediate flyer, your gonna love the radjet! with a 2700kv with a 6x6 prop it's a missile! on 3s! even the 1800kv is a great fly! don't hesitate BUY ONE you wont regret it!
If you're going to buy the 800 get a prop saver and make sure you cut out further back in the body to push the battery back for the CG ,other than that a fantastic plane.
Once you buy a "Transmitter" I guess you've got to watch for Receivers that'll work w/ your set-up or install a new receiver that works with your Transmitter? Is that right? peace
i would reccomend a "step up" plane between them. maybe something like a warbird or a sport mid-winger, but you might be able to handle this, just dial in some dual rates and expo.
I have the micro radjet 420 on the way and some nanotech 180mah 3s lipos. Im also gonna try this little badboy on a 3s. Do you think the stock 6a esc will hold up for long? Or should I chuck a 10a esc in it
I would like to see you show the death spiral, do a vertical climb and let the plane stall like in a hammerhead, if i do this with radjet i got into a spiral spin that seems unrecoverable, you just watch the plane spins to the ground without respond to any input.
I got the f27q Stryker last week. Flies ballistically and rolls really fast. Comes with a 40 amp esc and my meter shows it at 28 amp at full throttle so why would you change it.
try it out :D I didnt need high/low rates stock, but I absolute need them with 4s ! And just a tip : When i flew stock, it was a little bit nose heavy with a 2200mah battery. The CG should be in the middle of the grip to launch it is. AND ANOTHER ONE: NEVER LAUNCH WITH POWER ON! or atleast, not if you want to keep your pretty fingers :) I just take it in the wing on the side, and just give it a gentle toss with some power. Easiest way I think :p

I don't think that this is a beginner at all. If you want to learn, you can go with an apprentice or a supercub lp. If you want something more of a jet, you can build the ft22 raptor. I still wait for my transmitter, but when I get it, I can tell you what it feels like.
ups, i meant if you were gonna upgrade to 4s :p i got the stryker to :) Try out 4S ! i gets much faster then ;) that was the reason for 60amp, but if you are flying stock the original esc works perfectly :D
The 420 did not start off as a "Radjet 420" it was going to be something else in a completely different scheme-but it looked so like the 800 that it was dicided to "brother" them up.An inspired dicision by some really smart guys ;-)
I was considering a F-27Q Stryker but the rad jet is a 3rd of the cost!! Plus the F-27Q Stryker 180 sucks, one crash and it was $150 jigsaw puzzle... at $50 it wouldn't hurt the wallet so much.
Buy a radjet kit, add the turnigy Sk3 90mm edf motor, 120 amp HV esc, and an 8s. It will still cost roughly the same as your Stryker and be 80mph faster

Would you recommed putting carbon rods in the wing to give the extra support or just tape it.

What connectors are used on the PNF Radjet 400? 'Micro JST' (Spektrum micro receiver connectors) or 'PicoBlade Molex' (Futaba/FrSky receiver micro)?

Did you guys have trouble with it being nose heavy? at the CG specified by the manual, this plane required full up elevator to take off.

Mine seems to balance well with a 2200 lipo. Inverted requires just a little down elevator and I launch like you cause I need my fingers for work lol.

They are Micro jst, but the polarity is switched. So if you are going to use a spectrum micro receiver you need to switch the polarity in the plugs.

The CG is much better located 400mm back from the nose, which is 15mm further back from stock.
