YOOO altho to be completely fair (I'm a killjoy), what's scoot is saying isn't necessarily limited to men. In other words, just another thing to add to the list of first date anxieties thanks to social media bullshit.
I get both perspectives. Shofu is right - nobody should care what you get at a restaurant. It can be a way to weed out overly superficial people. Unfortunately, we live in a world where first impressions can mean different things to different people, which is where Scoot's advice makes sense. End of the day, why they charging $3 for CHEESE ON A BURGER!?
Nah scoot ain’t right at all. If she gives a shit that I ate a damn burger on a first date, deuces. Congrats, she won a free meal from me. I’m never gonna see her again lol
Scoot just making the right point with the wrong reasons, mostly just because a restaurant burger messy af and awkward to have a conversation during. Not the fact that the date has a problem with it, she shouldn't. So shofu is right with that part too.
I wanna know what restaurants servin greasy, juice filled burgers with tomato slices sliding out of from under the bun y'all been taking your first dates to
@@lovekeegoscoots base arguement started from “don’t get a burger on the first date” but yea her problem seemed to be with the fact he wasn’t messing with 3$ cheese. Either way all this is stupid and I’m just glad to laugh 😂
scoot and shofu are like the angel and devil on your shoulder. scoots right that you should make a good first impression and that chomping a big ass sloppy burger makes you look bad, but shofu’s also right saying that you should just be able to be yourself and if they don’t fw that then they aren’t the one. It feels like scoots advice is more about trying to ease into being yourself while shofu’s advice is dont change for anyone, and both are good. But irl I’m siding with scoot, restaurants gonna have to cook up some sirloin steak for me
Nah fuck what Scoot was saying Shofu is right! If you gotta change yourself to appeal and morph into a person the other person would like they're not the one. Buy the burger It's a litmus test in all honesty. Bro dodged a bullet for real.
There's nothing wrong with ordering a burger on the first date if that's what you want, but I just personally would almost never get a burger at a non-fast food restaurant when I can easily make one myself at home, or go somewhere where I can get one that's decent and cheap like In n out. If I'm at a restaurant, I'll probably go for an option that is not that easy for me to make myself or that is perhaps not super accessible.
You know, looking back, this girl's hustlin. She's trying to make that TikTok ad revenue with outrageous stories and followup tiktoks. You can't miss it when you realize what times we be in.
Honestly, guys should just start getting burgers on the first date as a test of character now 😂 Call it “the burger test” if they fail that go ahead and keep searching for the next one lmao

When they first talked about this, I had to go and test it. I can confirm, eating a burger is a riskier option. It can get messy & mess up the flow of conversation due to chewing. And you gotta balance not wanting the burger to get cold, or the bun to get hard while your there. Better to go with some pasta or sum, this just my results tho 🤷🏽😂
i don't even know man, i haven't gone on a date being fair but i would argue pasta is even more riskier cause all that sauce and shit and the noodles dangling out your mouth and you had to kinda focus to eat that shit without looking like a slob too lol
@Picaro_12 what kind of pasta you getting? Spaghetti and meatballs? Cuz gourmet pasta is usually pretty light and you can get a bite size pasta type so they won't dangle.
@@antoniofowler80 I mean I don’t be getting pasta like that lol the last time I got pasta was at olive gardens and I got a small pasta bowl but point is if there is a light in messy version of that you can get a in messy ass clean burger without all the toppings
@Picaro_12 olive garden ain't a great showing of pasta, that's essentially the mcdonalds of pasta lol. Regardless though yeah that's true, I think overall though you're always safer going with a non-finger food like pasta. You def got a point with the burger though, gourmet burger depending where you at might not be that messy.
My guess of the situation, which is probably wrong because clearly this isn’t a person whose motives can be explained with normal human reason, is that her dish was expensive so she felt guilty because he ordered something that was a lot cheaper and seemed somewhat frugal (though reasonable because 3 dollars for cheese is stupid). She felt guilty and then left the date for that reason.
Throwing my hat into this ring: When you eatin a burger on a first date, you lose conversation time and hand maneuverability, as well as running the risk of a messier eat. Scoot is right in that regard. It makes the date more complicated due to having to balance your time better. Eating pasta or something only requiring a fork and knife, at least gives you the ability to speak while cutting, spinning your fork, whatever you gotta do. But also nobody should be caring that much. But also who the FUCK charging 3$ for cheese
If I understand this correctly: shes upset because he complained about the price of the meal. Just remember she's doing him a favor. If she's going to fly off the handle over that, than she's meant for the streets.

I always order burgers from restaurants they're my favorite thing to eat. Burgers from restaurants are far tastier than from McD's and Wendy's because you can tell them how you want it cooked. As for looking like a slob simply just pace yourself while you eat and and use a napkin lol it's not that hard.
I agree with Scoot, it's not about the burger, it's about the aftermath, your breath gonna stink, your hands/mouth are gonna be dirty asf and it's gonna make you look unformal post-meal, whereas something like a steak, or something you eat with utensils would leave you looking the same and give you more room for conversations/less downtime, if im taking a bite out of a big sandwich/burger there's naturally going to be more downtime then taking small bites of whatever you're eating. Scoot just kept saying the same thing over and over again, but there's my reasoning behind it. I'm open to hearing yall thoughts on it. The item you buy doesn't have to be pricier either it just has to be something u can eat with utensils. Also 3 dollars for cheese is INSANE.
