Ruud was an electric striker for us. Only scored 1 goal outside of the box, a real poacher. Sublime 1st touch. Fantastic pace. Unbelievable ball control. Extremely intelligent movement and runs. Instinctive finishing. Aligned with a ruthless determination to score. He had it all! His goal against Fulham is one of the best goals you'll ever see. The control to receive the ball. The run past the defenders through midfield. The one on one with the goal keeper. The cheeky dink/shot finish. The celebration. As an example of centre forward play it's world class. This was a great interview. Personally I was so sad when he left and the circumstances around it.. He is a true United legend. Ruuuuuuuuuuuud! Strikers like him dont come along very often. In fact there are very few with records like him. I see a lot of Ruud in Haaland. They both have that excellent 1st touch and close control with that consistency and selfish desire to score that all the best strikers have
Van nistelrooy once said keane was the best player he's ever played with, not sure if he still thinks that after playing with Raul and Ronaldo (brazilian) or Figo but my god keane was truly world class. What a great player he was

Would be cool to have heard Ruud talk about the differences between playing in England and playing in Spain, in terms of style but also the fans and the media. And also comparing the experience of playing for Man Utd to Real Madrid.
Bring RVP or Berbs!
Thanks for this content, you're asking questions we'd like to pose, this interview was fantastic, loved Ruud as a player, now even more as a person, what a guy!
That was great interview man, good to see Ruud reminisce about his career and how things have come full circle for him. Phenomenal player man
Love these podcast man! As someone that grew up in holland and england, also football being my first love. These are some of the talks i cherish.
Ruuuuuud one of the best finishers. Great interview lads.
Nice one.
Best finisher I've ever seen. Other strikers may have had more all round ability but if I had once chance in a game to score without question I'm picking Ruud
His all round game was VERY underrated, especially his technical ability...I mean, he is Dutch at the end of the day.
It was just because he made it look so easy. His stats at United speak for themselves. He peaked at United. Truth is, Ronaldo hit his absolute peak at Madrid.
Van persie
Sir Alex is such a legend man! Can we get a sir Alex day whilst he's still alive..no point waiting till he dies then celebrating him! Stories like this need to be shared and appreciated so we can give him thanks and honour him!these little phone calls to Ruud gave us on the other end soooo much joy. What a man!
best chat i'v seen in ages...keep it coming guys.. great stuff!
This is incredible... Having Rios era on remenicing about games I vividly remember from my childhood and hearing behind the scenes info and first hand stories is almost sureal. Definitely more of this content... Because Rios got such a personal relationship with them, they all open up more. 🔥 Content.
He deserved a CL medal, the defeats to Leverksuen and Porto still live to this day
The way Rio looks at Ruud is quite something. Sheer admiration for the man ❤️
I was 11 when Ruud left United so i don't remember a whole lot about his time there but from what i do remember i fell in love. Ruud was an absolute gunman. Really miss having a striker like that at United.
Ruud the Duud! This guy was my King, a few years too early to really appreciate Le King. WHAT A PLAYER. Thanks for the memories Ruud! Fantastic interview and sharp as! Great content lads.
My all time favourite striker, just chills through my mind when remembering the chants of Ruuuud whenever he scored 🔴⚫️
They both have that excellent 1st touch and close control with that consistency and selfish desire to score that all the best strikers have
As an Arsenal fan, I always had a crush on Van the Man.
We all did
Question Ruud of RVP?
@@gustavonascimento7205 both were awesome.
“ RUUD THE WORLD” we used to call him. This man was man idol. Loved the style and how simple he made everything number 9 looks.
24:00 Ruud van Nistelrooy: " No trophys that year. Next year I will connect goals with titels" This man is a Legend!
Thanks for the memories Ruud, great conversation lads 👏👏👏
Van nistelrooy once said keane was the best player he's ever played with, not sure if he still thinks that after playing with Raul and Ronaldo (brazilian) or Figo but my god keane was truly world class. What a great player he was
Shame how the same gets overlooked. Absolute class.
@@shafaatmosvi I don't think he does get overlooked most people know how good he was
I loved watching Ruud as a kid. And now hearing how he talks about Ronaldo Fenomeno just blew my mind..
Rio these podcasts have been banging, need to get some more players on. Would love to see one with you and Vidic, best CB partnership ever in the prem.
Guys you have outdone yourselves here - what a great show with Ruud my favourite striker of all time - enjoyed every minute of it - cant wait for a part 2 - keep it up Rio, Steve and Joel !
Honestly any guest you get on would be good, players are more relaxed in these instead of boring press interviews
Love it when footballers come out and speak brings everyone together! Well done Mr Rio! 🙌
Ruud was on a different level. Much respect to him from a Arsenal fan
My favourite striker at the club in my lifetime - Huge credit to Ruud for admitting he was wrong. Total class!
The picture of Ruud after scoring on his league debut, the kid in the white top bottom right, that’s me (11 years old) 😂 remember it well!
That's really cool
That's cool. Send a link of the video please

@@nickelsom9911 thanks a lot
What a player, absolutely top class. That midfield with Keane, Scholes, Giggs and Becks, defenders like Rio, Neville, and you had Ruud, Ole up front.
Huge personalities and top players. My favourite United team ever.
what time to be alive, Rio with his own UA-cam giving us insight in to greatness
been waiting for this, the rolls royce's of the marksman and defending worlds reminiscing about good times & great insight. was a pleasure to watch you 🇾🇪
150 goals in 212 Appearances for Manchester United. Love him United legend
This is a great show, you don’t get to hear legends of the game talking like this. Well done Rio and the guys!
Get Ben Foster on! I’d love to hear the psychology of goalkeeping and how that works and how it can make or break you as a GK in your career
Ben foster got his own channel it's decent he has a camera in his goal for matches and gives insight on his goalkeeping career
Superb interview love the way RvN is honest and open and a really great professional.. one of my fav all time United player !
Who have you shared the Ruud video link with?
YESSSS

If your life depended on getting a goal, you would want the chance to fall to Ruud. Best finisher in history. Thanks for the memories Ruud.
OMG. Such a fascinating insight. You simply don't find this high quality football content anywhere else on the web. Chapeau guys!
