Texas Freeway Gypsy : I feel the exact same way you do, too. Such a captivating area of the state. Basically hours and hours of melodramatic landscapes, one can see while behind the wheel...such an awesome place for mental rejuvenation.
Also too in describing the mountains, incredible, breathtaking and unbelievable. The whole video was excellent looking and a great fun ride. I liked the way you filmed that whole trip. Wish it was longer. The music helped a lot. Thanx for posting this.
writer125 : Thank you very much! It's nice to read when people enjoy the videos. My May 2015 road trip was 5,135 miles in total length through 9 different states, and this footage in this video was one of the more memorable parts of the trip. A lot more footage will be coming throughout the rest of the the year, from that trip. I'm also trying to get up to Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, Alberta, Montana, Idaho and northern Nevada next month, to record enough footage for another 50 or so videos.
Good stuff there, that's an interesting stretch and you had ideal conditions and made the most of it (while I drove straight in to the sun westbound). Excellent work with the signs and overall production.
***** : Hey man, thank you so much. I've been super busy with work this past week, so I haven't even had a chance to really respond to comments yet. I'm *really* looking forward to your next Duluth video! Hopefully you're releasing it very soon?
+IsoscelesKramer : Hey! The 80 MPH limit is always nice...I found myself mostly driving somewhere between 73 - 78 MPH, but having the legal limit set to 80 was nice for passing purposes. I drove a 2015 Kia Rio for this trip...a pretty comfortable commuter vehicle, but certainly not anything that could compare to a very comfortable long-distance freeway cruiser, like a BMW 7 series, for example, lol.
+Kristy Warner : The landscape is indeed fascinating, out in this part of western Texas. Tornadoes are extremely rare, due to the dry, desert mountain climate.
+Steven Baker : Wow...that is some interesting trivia that I never knew, before. Guess I'll think about those people, next time I drive through here, lol.
Wait!? What's up with that 4 way intersection near 1:46 ? Isn't that against interstate standards? Plus it would be hard and scary to turn into 80+ mph traffic! That is hilarious!
I don't know. that's probably a local access road for a ranch, so they don't have to go 20 miles farther to get on the Interstate at the nearest official exit ramp.
Great video!
Love it! The Mountains are a beautiful sight.
I have a love affair with this area of the state.
Thank you for posting!!

Texas Freeway Gypsy I used to live in Las cruses a town near those mountains it was a nice view of seeing those mountains every day
I live in the DFW area and always wanted to go to the west! The landscape seems amazing and intriguing! Nice video.

Love it!!!!!!! I've been as far west out there as Ft. Stockton, Great ride.
some terrific landscapes there.
An incredible drive is what one may say when riding through the Chihuahuan Desert on I-10. Awesome video Brent!
shoot the tiki6 : Thank you so much!!
Excellent video! Thank you
+על גלגלים On Wheels : Thank you so much!
Great views of the local country!
Good stuff.Me and my Dad came through here in 1994 so it is neat to see the Eastbound I-10 video.
Asianorama: Wow, a long time ago. Glad you enjoyed!
It is 880 miles of I-10 across Texas, not 878 as noted @2:10
There's something so indescribably cool about cloud shadows on desert mountains, I just love it.
Did you enjoy the 80 mph limit? ;)

Very nice Brent, such a different view for me than my part of the country.
Thanks for another fine video.
Great ride Brent. As sparse as the traffic is, I don't want to be the one using those intersections. I'd feel like a Road Runner cartoon.
Always enjoy your music choices as well as the good feeling of being on the road again.
That land belongs to Muscalero Apaches
Awesome song choice!

Cable barrier? :o
It is extremely rare in my country. Only used for aesthetic reasons or old bridges .
The Inspection Station where Fiona Apple, Willie Nelson, Armie Hammer, Snoop Dog (Snoop Lion), and Nelly all were stopped for drug possession.
+Steven Baker : Wow...that is some interesting trivia that I never knew, before. Guess I'll think about those people, next time I drive through here, lol.
Great video Brent!! Did you go all the way to San Antonio?
