Hi friends, in this video i have recorded how i solve the problem i was having with this jeep, gearbox was stuck in second gear and engine light was on , on the dash board.
at end problem is fix , and found the origen of it. happy happy.

Jeep 2.7 CRD ma silnik i skrzynie z Mercedesa, tak wię lejemy olej który jest zalecany przez Mercedesa. Skrznia jaka jest zamontowana w Jeep 2.7 to 722.6 i dedykowany olej z normą MB-236.14. olej pokazany na filmiku nie nadaje sie do tej skrzyni.

yess man! it was time to put some new fluid in. jeje , this jeep is working nice nae :P ,im not too much good mecanic,, but i olwas try to no make mistakes, jeje spacialy becouse jeep parts are soo spensive. and if i take it to the oficial garage , they kill me with they prices man.

Buen trabajo como siempre jejeje, en estos días le coloque una pantalla al mio y la cámara de marcha atrás jajaja pero no se la verdsd cómo hacer un video o de pronto no tengo la paciencia para grabarlo, tienes que cme tare cómo lo haces jajaja un saludo fenómeno. ..Ismael el canario.👍
jeje, muchas gracias por pasar compañero ! la verdad que este finde le he dado mucha caña al coche. Lo tenia averiado hacia meses y al fin pude tener las piezas y el tiempo necesario para liarme con el . Ahora las marchas le entran perfectas. Y Tambien he localizado y reparado el "porque de la averia", entre otras fallas que estaba teniendo. . Eso si ha sido una buena aventura. Pero bueno lo principal ya esta echo eheh, ahora me faltan algunas cosillas como hacerle la correa de distribucion y cambiar algunas poleas y quizas el tensor.. , Acerca de como grabarlos, jejej pues buenoo, solo hay que quitarle el polvo a la camara /(o telefono movil) ,yo grabe con varias amaras esta vez, para no tener que esperarme a cargar las baterias. Asi cuando una argaba grabo con la otra. Un saludo , animo haber si haces algun video de lo que le has echo al coche y gracias por pasar.
SongoLand Garage voy a estará atento al del cambio de correa, tengo una hyundai santa fe 2007-2009 4x4 full y ya me toca cambiarla jajaja así Q estaré atento a ese sobre todo más que viviendo en holanda le quieren sacar los ojos a uno aquí y con matrículas extranjeras jajaaja un saludo. Amigo...

Podrias decirme como revisar el nivel? Hasta donde lo llenas ya que la varilla tiene dos escalas para frio y caliente. Muchas gracias
Hola Fran Fernandez , pues primero lo lleno en frio hasta la marca de frio , una vez ahi , con el motor en marcha, paso por todas las marchas parando en cada una unos segundo para que el fluido se caliente y pase por el circuitro ademas del por todo el convertidor par , luego con el motor en marcha en la posicion P , le voy mirando el nivel , deberia quedarse en la marca de caliente. si no llega pues agrego un poco (poquito) hasta que veo que queda perfecto. P.D , no se si es la forma perfecta de hacerlo , es como yo lo hago. saludos
SongoLand Garage muchísimas gracias, en eso estaba mi duda porque en frio si esta en nivel pero cuando se calienta no llega a la marca de caliente, se queda por la mitad de la parte negra de la varilla, y no sabia si tenia que agregar mas hasta llegar a la escala de caliente o no. Entonces le agregare mas para que cuando este caliente este en nivel. :)

The gearbox oil level needs to be checked with the engine running in Drive or Reverse, having someone in the car to hold the brakes on, in the same time. That's how you check the oil level correctly.

Neutral position is enough to fill the turbine , just have to switch all the gears and leave it on neutral . Make sure that you’re doing the check in warm oil

Good video! Do you have the number of the black box (connector/aprox) in the bag? I've called the dealership, but they can't find the part in the computer..

I ordered by Mercedes-Benz dealership... the garage fixed it this week but the problem is not over... the connector was oiled, but the motormanagement sign at dashboard gives no fault code with Delphi.. The gear in D stays in 2nd gear and won't go further to 3. Rear, Neutral works normal..
hi Auto Louwman , defnly is conector was oiled, that was not good, sad to know that not fix the problem. The dash board engine light steel on?? . Becouse if rear can be engaged , looks like the cpu from the car , is doing thar for prevent more damage. (im not a mecanic , just a diy guy at home) but , in my case, after replace concetor and oil, all start to work only after reset the fail with the ELM327 bluetooth version and tablet android App found in this site jeepswj.com/es/jeep-diagnostico/ , i have more sepensive OBDII scanners , and the only one what work for me to reset the problme of the gearbox on my jeep grand cherokee 2.7 crd was the cheap ELM237 bluetooth version. hope this hepls friend. wish you luck , a greeting
hi friend, The unit you have is the bluetotth version?? is with the only one i have ben able to reset my fail , after replace filters and gear oil on the car. My unit was buy in geabest (link on description to the shop) a greeting

you can buy the stick on ebay.
Is it not neserety to use gear shift 1-2-3-4- ???

i dont think it engages directly the gear, i mean , if you are stoped and you select 4 gear,, wen you start to move , the car will start in 1 , after 2 , 3 and will lock on 4. In the case of this video , i just move it in P, R,N,D , becouse i had a problem with my gearbox, and the CPU of the car was in "safty mode" lock on 2 gear all time. then that was the reason. I hot the tranfer oil befor replace it partialy. A greeting
