@@LucyCharlesBarclay Their whole MTB line is great for that. Shame the road ones aren't the same. They have Dirty Dan, Magic Mary, Rocket Ron, Big Betty, Racing Ralph etc.
Yeah, I agree. I run Schwalbe on my MTB (Smart Sam) and Trekking bike (Schwalbe Marathon Green Guard) and they are great indeed. Still need to switch to Schwalbe on my road bike though. I didn't know they produce road bike tires as well...
Always so happy when I see a new vid from TCB. The insight is really cool on topic we never really get to hear about from Professional Athletes. Awesome. Appreciated. 🙌 Can't wait to see you crushing it at the T100 in the UK 🫶
Side wall texture can help aerodynamics too, similar to textured rims. Indeed tire width interacting with the entire system matters. But that doesn't change the cda formula meaning less frontal area is still better. I have no clue what tire width tt bikes use but I would imagine 25 to 28 depending on the road quality. I bet even 23s would do well on smooth roads at higher speed tts.
These are the best f'ckn tires, every other brand have left me with constant flats. I'm known by my friends as the flat tire King. I've never had another flat since using this brand.
Yo! Are you serious right now, bro?!👀☠️ Damn, dude. You gotta support the modified new technologies in their custom ranch made by the melted cream birds. Lets jus call my brother LB23 👑 of Cleveland to fix all that shit 🤣🤦♂️
Hi Lucy - I like the change of pace from your training videos. I have Gatorskins on my Zipps, but good to hear about other options. What diameter tire do you run for training/racing? 26mm? 28mm? 32?! Keep Flying!!
Gatorskins are the worst tyres known to humanity; unless you’re commuting, in a straight line, across broken glass, in winter. Worst choice ever for a TT/Tri bike and a poor choice on any other bike. Sorry for sharing this bad news with you.
Continental makes great tyres - but the Gatorskin an Zipps? That's like Schwalbe Marathons on Campagnolo Bora... they are durable and good for commuting or so, but they are absolute not designed for race or tt bikes. Use 5000's or 5000TT's - they save you more than 10 W at normal race speed compared to the Gatorskins!
Great video, remember your dad beating some poor unfortunate at Butlins back in the late 60’s with a small frying pan 😊…..and your dad was born in Forest Gate just like myself ..COYI ⚒️
I always called it “ 8:49 schwalb-e” that’s how I always sold them for years at our bike shop. I was wondering if she was saying it correctly. Great video Lucy! Maybe another day in the life video soon???
When learning German, it took me ages to get my head around pronouncing every single letter 🤣 & I still refuse to add the e to Porsch as it sounds daft 🤣
I’ve been using Schwalbe tyres for years on road, gravel and MTB. I swear by my Nobby Nics, best tires I’ve used ever.
Great name for a tire too! 😁
@@LucyCharlesBarclay Their whole MTB line is great for that. Shame the road ones aren't the same. They have Dirty Dan, Magic Mary, Rocket Ron, Big Betty, Racing Ralph etc.
I have also been exclusively riding their MTB tires for years. Currently running one Racing Ray and one Racing Ralph.

Eyy earlyyy ❤❤ love you guys and Lucy you inspire me sm to train and work for my dreams 🥰🥹
Love the mermaid graphic at the end! Great video :) thank you!
Super interesting!
Hey Lucy, super interesting video! Just wondering what size tyre you have on you tri bike and what pressure you run them at? Cheers
It was really interesting thanks Lucy for sharing
I would like to know how much pressure you are riding at race day... and 28mm or 25mm tires ?
Thanks for sharing the knowledge Lucy. Would love to know what with and pressure you run on race day. Please ? Good luck with the rest of the season
Great video! Same as above would love to know tire pressure and width for race day. Cheers!

What tire pressure do you ride on? Great video!

Including how to spell tyres it seems 😜
Glad to see they spelled tires right, not the English way of Tyres. Same for Color, its not Colour hahah
German engineering 🤗👍

Lucy seems abit tired with all that training and activity! Nice to see what goes into tire development, testing and manufacture
Ahhhhh, so that's how you say it. Schwalbe.
Great video, remember your dad beating some poor unfortunate at Butlins back in the late 60’s with a small frying pan 😊…..and your dad was born in Forest Gate just like myself ..COYI ⚒️
As a german hearing Schwalbe being pronounced as Schwolb is almost worse than Porsche being butchered to Porsch😅
Yeah, but nobody in UK says “Bay Em Vay” for BMW.

Lucky you didn't go Gp5000 you'd have so many punctures
They are tyres in English
Who is responsible for the spelling of tYres?? 😱
