- We are ALAMAT, a 9-member boy group from different parts of this multicultural country called the #Philippines. We are not here to just to entertain, but to also use pop music as a means of telling the world about our people and our nation. 🇵🇭
The time of burying the Filipino identity just to gain the approval of the rest of the international community-and also the approval of fellow Filipinos who have strayed away far from their heritage-is over. In this cover of “Hindi Tayo Pwede” (originally by our Viva Records labelmates The Juans), we tried to use all the native languages of our members in the lyrics to come up with a Filipino song that symbolically reflects our diversity as a nation. If we can listen to songs sung in foreign languages even if we don't understand the words, then there's no reason we couldn't support and listen to songs sung in the languages of our fellow Filipinos across the archipelago.
This is a glimpse of Alamat's concept and direction as a boy group, and we are excited to offer you a one-of-a-kind musical experience once we debut in 2021. This is what we are: a hybrid of the past and the present; a fusion of more than a hundred souls; a pool of diverse threads woven into one colorful mat. We are #ALAMAT.

I believe this Pinoy boyband is created not merely to add to the growing number of P-POPs in the country, but to send a message to the entire nation and to the world that, indeed, Philippine Languages are NOT Dialects, they are in fact LANGUAGES...! Thank you, ALAMAT...!

I wanna share how I discover them too. Dahil sa Never Have I Ever video of Kyo dahil ang kwela nila. Then ang naka catch ng attention ko ay si Tomas and Kin, kaso nalaman ko na nagpaalam na si Kin 🥺. March 31, 2021 official Mabini.

@scarlett Numbering nang respective purok nila yung purok numbers. Like Taneo is Purok Uno, Kin is Purok Kuwatro, Ambri is Purok 9, etc. They serve as purok leaders.
The entire fandom lives in Barangay Magiliw. So kung sino bias mo, doon ka sa purok na yun, although may mga nangangapit-bahay na iba LOL!

Each one from different parts of tbe country and can speak, write and speak their own Language. #Tagalog, #Bisaya (from Davao and Bohol) #Bicolano #Hiligaynon (Negros) #WarayWaray #Kapampangan and #Ilokano. One is half Pinoy, half Black American. So exciting to hear multiple languages in one song!
