Affordable housing is a broad term and doesn't necessarily mean cheap housing. It often refers to stuff that isn't luxury, stuff that more locals can afford. You get more middle class families near the stadium, you're more likely to fill seats on a Tuesday or Wednesday along with weekends. Or, keep catering to out-of-towners with luxury condos but don't wonder why it feels like a home game for the visiting team.
I’d hate to see them leave but the Rays would be better off moving to where fans will attend the games.

It is not a good deal. No stadium is good for any city when it comes to revenue ever.
