It really should have been ready by now! Dave is onto the last couple of jobs (hopefully), new head bearings and a pipe to clear. Then it's just on to having fun, when it stops raining
There is a way to get some heat into a inner bearing race quickly before you heat up the tube/bar it's on. Weld it with an arc welder moving fast around it - making sure of course you don't burn through.
Funny, they all told me Im nuts about the front suspension on my new to me, '07. I've had the same experience as you. I took the front apart and changed to 520cc of 5wt (taking out the old 10 or 15 wt) and set the preload at 6 rings showing. Transformed the bike, but wanted to know how you fared in the end (you never did a followed up). Was thinking I needed softer springs as well (Im 165 lbs). Thanks from here in the states for your fab videos!
Are the older tuono, a pig to put fuel in like the newer ones. With the spit back/blow back making fuel nozzle position a right dance at the pump, at times.😂
Hi Dave. Loved watching the build, and the Ducati videos. Just a question, I like the look of the bars you have here. Which model are they? Are they Rentals? Im looking for something better for my 04 955i Speed Triple... What do you think? I have rhizomes on from the previous owner but they feel weird to me, can't get comfortable. Value your input Dave. Cheers and please... keep the vids coming.
They are indeed Renthal 'Mcgrath/KTM SX/SXF' bars, part number 821-01-BK I'm a fan of them, they are quite flat and wide so work well for the way I want the bike to feel. If you call the chaps at B+C express they can help out as they'll probably have the stock bars listed so may well be able to work out what would fit best as an upgrade
@@obsession_engineering Hi Dave. Thank you so much for the detailed info, and your time to reply to me. You are a proper Gent. Stay safe... All the best... Rob.
Great video looking forward to next one stay safe 🇬🇧👍🏻

It's not the best filler design!
You need an Abba stand Dave. Plus (not very interesting fact alert) my Tuono had a blocked breather in exactly the same place.
Brilliant work & outcome Dave! I wonder what’s next? Will you be keeping the Tuono? Or have you no room for it? Keep up the great work!
I'm definitely enjoying riding it so it'll be staying for now

I feel cheated. Didn't see any tappy tap tap.
I need a tripod or i'd only end up hitting the camera, lol
Good job Dave, is there going to be another project bike ?
Yes, possibly something a bit older next though
